"I needed to remove a shower base/pan in the basement (on a concrete floor). Was going to do it myself, 'til I realized this shower base had been made using concrete (approx. 35 yrs ago). Wasn't sure where to go/who to use, and wound up coming to HomeAdvisor.com, who provided me w. the names of 2 companies/contractors who should be able to remove this concrete shower base. I contacted both contactors, but it was this contractor (Hernandez Stone Work) who followed through right away. My e-mail to him (Pedro) specifed that I'd like to get this done asap - and he was right there for me. Came to the house, that afternoon, to look at the project. Gave me a price quote (which was fine with me!), and his crew came to the house, 3 days later, and within 2 hrs, the concrete shower was gone! So was all the concrete debrie! I couldn't be more pleased! I was expecting a LOT of dust - and the dust is minimal. They did a terrific job - protecting the shower drain pipe, which was unharmed by the concrete removal - and a terrific price, too! What would have taken me probably 6 weeks to do, was accomplished within 2 hrs. Amazing! The crew was fast, hard-working, pleasant, professional... Seriously - I cannot say enough nice things about this group. I will use them again - soon. (Next project? Replacing our concrete driveway.) Hernandez Stone Work is top-notch, and I thoroughly recomment them!"

I have owned my home for over 18 years, and have done a lot of work on it - from smaller jobs, to full underpinning and finishing basement, full kitchen gut and redo, full bathroom gut and redo. Overall, Juan was the best contractor I have hired in 18 years of working on this home. He was polite, punctual, his work was absolutely excellent, and his price was fair considering the scope of work. He removed my concrete driveway and replaced it with a permeable paver driveway that qualified for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's rebate program.
