"This is an AMAZING company and I highly RECOMMEND them to everyone considering getting this type of work done!  This is my first experience with Victory Cleaning Systems but it won't be my last because I will use them on future projects!  Everyone from the owner to his high class and professional employees were kind and considerate to my elderly Mother and they were all Pro's from the word go and it's very evident that they all cared about their work, craftsmanship and reputation!
The owner, Dan,was contacted because of an offer listed by Angie's List and he was kind and considerate when he explained that Angie's List had made a mistake by running a two-year old coupon without asking him for approval. (Shame on ANGIE'S LIST!)
Dan was a real Pro because he didn't bad mouth or blame Angie's List (for the headaches I'm sure they are causing him!) but instead, Dan was glad to listen to my needs and offered to come look at my job and said he'd give me a great deal anyway.
He came and gave the bid and offered options and he promised his employees would be there the very next day and would be as caring and professional as Dan.  He was wrong, his employees were BETTER than Dan promised!  His employees, Daniel and Stephen were awesome and did an even better than expected job!  The owner should give his guys a raise because they made both him and his company look like no one else could come close to the level of quality they deliver... They should all be voted Angie's List Company of the Year!

"The job itself was done to perfection (for instance, bathroom tiles are squared up exactly, countertops are cut and installed well, etc.). He cleaned up immaculately every day and took extreme care with house owner belongings. For instance, when moving around the house, he made sure his tools and work were clear of property. He always made sure things were being done to my expectations. I would highly recommend him and would not hesitate to use him again."

"When we called Jeff, he made an appointment for the next day, arrived on time, was unfailingly polite, and immediately found the problem with the door. He had a quick solution for it, fixed it, and it's still fine. We may ask him to come back to remove the doorframe, correct the opening so it is square, and reframe it, re-hang the door again, and paint the new doorframe on both sides. The original door frame sloped downhill about 15 degrees from the time it was installed.

"Overall, everything went well.  He arrived on time.  He was very conscious about cleaning up after working. The outlet in my garage and the bathroom light fixture were a challenged to install so it took him about 90 minutes to install it. The light fixture needed a box but he managed to run a wire through the dry wall to install without using a box.  He spent about 30 minutes to replace the two electrical boxes which had worn out.
He appeared to be very honest and he did great work.  His prices were reasonable too.

"the representative that came to my home to do the initial assessment was informative and was not "pushy".  It really bothers me when a salesman tells me what I need and not the other way around. He was in and out in less than 45 minutes. I paid half up front and the other half on completion. I setup the installation date with the expectation that they would arrive between noon and 4pm. They called me around 1230 to relay they were on their way. Showed up as expected and completed the job by 4. It was really helpful when David recommended replacing the surrounding framing on another window to keep the color flow to the front of the house and it really looked great. It only cost me another 20 dollars. They cleaned up and  were on their way. I will use them again to replace a sliding door down the road. FYI, I had 3 other windows replaced by Sears 2 years ago and these were the very same windows and cost me half the amount.

FAQs for laminate countertops installation projects in Kansas City, MO

With the right care and a professional installation, laminate counters last 10 to 15 years. Wipe up spills quickly, clean with a nonabrasive product, and keep hot pots off the surface to prevent warping or scorch marks. Limiting prolonged moisture at seams also pays off. Your installer can walk you through simple maintenance habits that will help you squeeze every year out of your new counters.

Yes—if the existing laminate is solid and level, a pro can bond a fresh sheet right on top. They’ll rough up the old surface, apply the correct adhesive, and make precise cuts so the new layer sits tight. Skipping steps can lead to bubbles or weak seams, so this project is best left to an experienced installer who has the tools to deliver a clean, durable finish.

Absolutely, you can give tired laminate a facelift with paint, tile, or a concrete overlay instead of a full tear-out. The key is thorough prep: clean, degrease, and lightly sand so the new finish sticks.

Follow the product instructions for primer, sealers, and cure times, or hire a pro if you’d rather avoid the mess. When done correctly, these updates freshen the look and add a few more years of useful life.

Mix baking soda with just enough water to form a paste, then spread it over the stain and let it sit for five minutes. Wipe away with a soft, damp cloth—don’t scrub, as abrasives can dull the surface. Repeat if needed. For stubborn marks, ask your installer about cleaners made specifically for laminate.

Laminate isn’t built to battle the elements. Water, UV rays, and temperature swings quickly cause swelling, fading, and mold. Even a covered patio won’t protect the material for long. If you’re planning an outdoor kitchen or bar, skip laminate and choose a weather-tough option like stone, tile, or concrete so you don’t end up replacing your counters after the first season.

Traditional laminate isn’t the greenest choice. Most sheets rely on plastics like melamine and can emit trace VOCs over time. They also can’t be recycled at the end of their life. A few brands now use recycled pulp cores, but plastics still make up much of the product.

If sustainability tops your list, consider natural or recyclable materials such as solid wood, stone, or recycled glass instead.
