Comment: This is a vacation home in St. George. Small floor plan. I want to have the beach/cottage relaxed but tasteful look (think the beach house on Revenge). A water line froze and burst in the kitchen ceiling - so the cabinets, flooring are out of the kitchen/eating area. We are raising the kitchen area (10x10) ceiling to 8 feet with recessed lighting, except that I want 3 pendant lights over the peninsula (of U shaped kitchen) which would also have the dishwasher on this side, and I was thinking beadboard on the back side of the base cabinets. Only upper cabinets on interior kitchen wall (also will have fridge and slide in range. Sink is in the short side of the U with a window. Folding door wide pantry is opposite kitchen. I was thinking of white raised panel cabinets. Originally I wanted shaker style cabinets, but I'd have to get all new baseboard which my husband doesn't think would matter.
