Comment: My 18 year old son needs a wheelchair ramp to access to a private residence for 2 months while he recovers from major leg surgery. The surgery is a Shriner's Hospital March 6. The rise on front porch steps is 24" . I understand this to mean we need something 12' long. The portable ramps I see on line are not long enough plus I think we have to angle it if it goes over 10 feet. We do not need rails. He will not be operating the chair himself. I will push him up. He's 160lbs. He's covered by 3 different insurance companies, so I may be able to get a prescription from the doctor for costs. However, we can budget for this and can pay whether insurance covers it or not. Please advise
