Comment: I have an attic fan which I turn on via a switch and it opens the vent above my steps going up stairs. It isn't mounted in my roof, but in my attic. I just want to replace with a similar style. I don't use the thermostat as I just crank it down to 50 and run it when it's hot/humid. I'm guessing the motor is shot, but I have no idea how to test. Looking for pricing for a replacement system. The grating / vent in the ceiling looks cosmetically good, so we don't have to replace that portion (if it comes in a kit, that's fine, but save yourself the work here). Looking to have done soon, but I'm not going to bust "chops" on this either.
