"After my metal chimney snapped and fell off the roof, I tried calling a few different companies, being told it was the busy season and that they would try and get me in eventually. I called Shamrock and talked with Chris who was able to schedule a quote for the next day. Joe and Darien arrived and told me they could fix it up right there and then. They installed a new liner, repaired the chimney from the roof up, replaced the cap and cleaned up all within an hour and a half. They were also very friendly and informative, letting me know exactly what they were doing. Highly recommended for chimney repair."

"Why can't all contractors be like Jeff? I own an old, high maintenance house and called 5 Star for a second estimate to repair a leaky chimney. Jeff came out as promised and spent much time evaluating the damage. He described the necessary work in detail and showed me photos that he'd taken up on the roof to illustrate the problem. He educated me about masonry and chimney construction and provided a diagnosis and fix that seemed so much more substantive and detailed than the first bidder, who is reputable but just gave it a quick glance and told me I needed new flashing (which would not have resolved the problem as the mortar needed replacing, as well). I ended up hiring Jeff to repair both my chimneys and remortar some areas of the house's stone exterior. These guys started the work on schedule and kept me apprised of all work and schedule adjustments. The repair was done professionally and with much attention to detail. He was mindful of our privacy, safety and desire to protect our garden, too. I plan to have 5 Star back to restore our outdoor fireplace and re-do some masonry work done by another well-meaning but less experienced contractor. High praise!"

"Gary is not only an excellent craftsman, he is an artist and one of the few left in his trade. I am so lucky to have found him to complete a project that was poorly done by Tim Dutton of Double T Custom Services LLC and which left us with costly damages due to inadequate foundation work which caused two stone columns to lean . one of which fell on our garage wall and caused ceiling and wall cracks throughout the second floor of our home. Dutton refused to answer calls or show up for an appointment to discuss the damage. Gary was able to readily asses the error and repair the columns which had to be completely torn down and replaced..a BIG project!!! Gary was professional in every way. He stayed in touch, was prompt and finished the work in the time he originally stated at the price he quoted . Plants and paving tones had to be dug and moved , a wrought iron gate removed and then releveled and rehung. All of this was done with perfection and put back almost magically as if nothing had ever been touched!
