Comment: We think our fireplace may be ventless while the logs are vented. We are kind of in the dark when it comes to what exactly needs to be done but when we turn the fireplace on, the gas smell is overwhelming. We usually have to open the doors/windows to get rid of the smell which fills the room in 5-10 min. Our home was foreclosed and we think the previous owners may have just place the current logs in the fireplace for a quick sell without researching the correct logs.
