Comment: We have a 1917 Barnhouse and the center of the floors in the dinning and living room were 1)never finished, 2) they used softwood, 3) the way it was installed left too many gaps so sanding and refinishing to match is impossible. The sections are both approx. 9X 12 feet each. The new ready to install flooring is not going to match. And when that is complete, it would be nice if the entire first floor flooring matched.
