Comment: Older Bryant forced-air gas furnace with standing pilot. Recent malfunction after properly operating for several weeks. Blower (single blower unit, no separate updraft unit) runs constantly and slowly regardless of thermostat setting, and main burner won't ignite (pilot is OK and so is setting on gas valve). Disconnecting thermostat does not stop blower. Red and white thermostat wires were isolated at furnace for a test, and blower still does not stop, nor does burner ignite when wires are touched together. Unable to conduct more tests as I am not physically at property. Property soon to be sold and would rather fix furnace than replace it if possible.
