Comment: I have a Steam Boiler with a condensate tank with a pump that comes on to fill boiler when it calls for water. I have had an on going problem with the boiler randomly sucking water out of the condensate tank when the fresh water supply line is left on to re fill the condensate tank when it needs water. The float and needle and seat have been replaced in the condensate tank and still the problem persist. If we shut the fresh water feed to the condensate tank off it doesn't seem to happen. There is a pressure reducing valve mounted on the side of the condensate tank which may be defective not sure. I have a couple of ideas on how to correct the problem but not sure what might work.
