Comment: we live in an area where the soil is mostly sand. Our front has received our sweat and finances as, of course, it's the most visible. Our back yard is nothing short of a disaster and has been for years. We have mostly shade in this area due to the number of trees so we've tried several times to grow grass but only seem to be able to grow MORE SAND! We need to get this back yard under control. Enrich the soil, find a specific type of grass that will grow in mostly shade, and maybe put in turf until the grass can grow on it's own.
