Install individual porcelain tiles (2" x 8" each) with about 20 trim pieces (1/2" x 8" each). Comment: Hello- My name is xxxxx and I am interested in speaking with you about re-tiling our fireplace. There is a surround that is VERY old tile from maybe the 60's and it is not in our style and also is just starting to crumble. I was curious about a recommendation and also would like to get a quote of what something like that would cost so I could perhaps surprise my wife for her Christmas gift. (she loves decorating and design)

Comment: We have a 32"x 32" x 78" + stall ceiling that needs to have the majority of existing tile removed, new backer board installed, and a fiberglass shower pan removed and replaced with a tile floor with curb (sub-floor is concrete). We have already purchased the tile as we were going to attempt the project on our own. The tile to be installed are 3"x6" glazed ceramic tiles for surround and ceiling with a 3" border of 1"x1" mosaic glass tile and a natural stone mosaic for the shower floor. We also have a small ceramic tile corner shelf to be installed. The demo work would need to be completed on a separate day so that our plumber can come and install a new tile floor drain and fixture rough-ins.

Comment: - I believe I have removed 90% of old caulk and silicone from around base of the tub (below the tile walls). I know that all this needs to be removed so that new stuff can adhere as it should. - I have a handful of tiles where there are hairline cracks in the grout. I assume the grout needs to be removed and replaced. I think the upright corners of the tub were grouted (where common practice is now caulking) and one upright is cracked and chipping out. (I'm sure this happened with I leveled the floor of the house and few years ago and it's slowly gotten 'weaker' as time wears on.) -One tile has more give/play and has hairline crack all the way around. Not sure if this means it's completely loose or backer board has more flex between the studs and with cracks it gives more. - I have not yet bleached the small areas where some of the caulk had mildew/mold on it. - I have not yet used mineral spirits to clean the surface of any residue. - I'm basically s
