Project: Repair Natural Gas or Propane Furnace / Forced Air Heating System
They worked hard and did the job all in one day, except for some repair of tiles that broke while doing the installation which they are replacing on Monday; in the meantime, they are sealing off the area where the tiles were broken to be sure my roof won't leak.

I have lost confidence that A1 can complete a job satisfactory given the problems they have encountered completing a basic coil replacement. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I hired A1 to replace the coil in my existing 11 year old AC unit on June 15, 2016. 5 days later, A1 was called back after the AC unit was blowing warm air. The diagnosis performed by James Love was the Freon had leaked completely out of the system. The leak was repaired on June 21, 2016 and the system was recharged. On July 3, 2016, another problem was discovered with the AC system. Water began leaking on the ceiling evident by the water stains. I verified water was coming from the newly installed coil by going up into the attic. I also discovered cold air was blowing out of the coil box into the attic. The escaping cool air was coming from the coil box where the installer neglected to seal the box in an area hard to reach. I also found repair debris left in my attic including remnants of my old coil unit. On July 6, 2016, A1 came back out to diagnose the problem and found the coil box which includes the primary condensation pan was not properly leveled and not properly sealed. Another appointment was required to fix the poorly installed coil. The leaky coil box was repaired on July 11, 2016 and the repair debris was removed from my attic. I am now waiting for A1 Plumbing to fix the water damage on my ceiling caused by the leaky coil box. This would be their 6th visit to my home but as of July 22, 2016, A1 has not demonstrated any attempt or desire to fix the stained ceiling. I do not believe A1 intends to fix the stained ceiling even though it was caused by their poor workmanship. From my experience, A1 has demonstrated they hire staff that are not adequately trained or have the appropriate skills to perform basic AC work. It is my understanding from other AC technicians, installing a coil is pretty basic and a common repair. Problems encountered: 1) not leveling the evaporator pan, 2) not completely sealing the coil box allowing cold air to blow into the attic, 3) not adequately testing the AC system after repairs were completed, 4) not cleaning up the work site when work was completed and 5) not owning up to repairs caused by their negligence These problems suggest/questions: 1) A1's ability and/or desire to hire qualified staff 2) A1's lack of quality control. Staff's work should be checked and systems should be tested after repairs 3) A1's lack of expertise (work performed incorrectly) 4) A1's lack of professionalism, lack of work ethics and lack of respect to the customer (leaving a mess at the job site) 5) A1's negligence in performing work. (Why would an AC company say a job was satisfactorily completed knowing cold air was blowing in the attic? How do you not know this?) 6) A1's lacks good customer service (no attempt was made by A1 to compensate for the mistakes they have made and the hardship they have put on the customer (time off from work) not to mention no attempt has been made to fix the stained ceiling.) None of these problems should be acceptable to any respectable legitimate company.

Excellent service. The drainage was disconnected. One company suggested to lift the air-conditioning up and connect it again. Very expensive. This company did a simple fix and drained it through the bathroom drain next to it.

Arrived in timeframe as promised; technician was courteous and professional. He kept me informed from testing through repair of the unit. I would highly recommend A1 to anyone needing repair of their air conditioner. When the time comes to replace the HVAC in my home, I will be contacting A1.
