I hired Jeff as his estimate was about $150 less than the competition. He was friendly and personable. He completed the job. However the main seam-in the middle of the room- is highly visable and has a gap in it. It took repeated calling, but Jeff came out THREE times more to fix it. Even after the third repair the gap it still there and just as bad as it was. I have called him three times in the last three weeks to come up with a solution but I have not heard back. I just wanted the new carpet in our newly renovated basement to look as good as the rest of the project, it is the only part of the project I am disappointed with.

Carpet looks good and seems to be secured and stretched well, but some of the transitions (from carpet to vinyl) were not finished and there were a lot of threads from the backing sticking up on the edges and at the seams. I called a couple of times. He said he would come out but never did so I gave up and had someone else finish it up since I needed to have the project finished. My last carpet installer cleaned up when done (vacuumed, etc.) but that was not done with this job. The price seemed good at the time but next time I'll use someone who finishes the job.

The work was not done as I had expected. It was laid in a manner that could cause tripping. The job before was laid where tripping or wind could not raise the carpet. This was notice the next day after completion.I personally think it was a bad job.

Response by Affordable Carpet Installation: the customer had a indoor out door porch carpet it was glued down the way it was suppose to be. Customers carpet install is guaranteed and we have no problem fixing any issues there may be. This is the first time hearing of any issues and the job was completed several months ago. If we could reach customer we would love to make him happier.

I wasn't home after work was done. I found some imperfections and called them about it leaving a message. I never heard from them since that time.

I am pleased with Affordible Flooring, was nice to have several bids for my project. I was very dissatisfied with Marqie Carpet, He called me a racist and walked out on me when I insisted his crew were American citizens

While Jeff did a great job installing carpet reliably and professionally in our rental, his back office support was unreliable and disappointing. While repeated requests for a final bill were acknowledged, we never managed to receive a bill. It seems that Melody Blackman, Jeff's wife is in charge of back office support but she seems quite overwhelmed by other obligations. Even when we asked Jeff to mail us the final receipt, he did not follow through. Or maybe he did and she didn't. Who knows. Regrettably Affordable Carpet Installation's back office support is too unreliable to hire this great carpet guy for any other rental projects.
