Axiom did a great job of providing me with details of the work to be performed, what to expect, and how to prepare for the air samples (keep your house closed for 24 hours before the scheduled inspection appointment). Jonathan who did the inspection and air sample collection has Federal and State certifications plus a background and experience in building construction. The turn around time to get lab test results and inspection report for my basement was two days. Competent, efficient, knowledgeable and wiling to share in-depth knowledge of the end to end process. Inspection includes visual search for evidence of active mold and moisture meter readings in all locations where mold spores are likely to be found. Plenty of photos were taken to fully document the process.

Fantastic service, highly recommend. This was something we were worried about doing quickly. They were able to accommodate us.

Matt is a superior worker! It was not any easy job, but we pushed though and got it done. These guys did what they said needed to be done and did it in a professional manor. Great Job! Would highly recommend!

This was a badly needed service, and expensive, but worth the peace of mind once the test were completed. The guy explained the process and timeline and delivered. Professional, and I appreciated that.

Project: Inspect a Home
We hired Axiom to perform a pre-purchase home inspection, sewer scope, and thermal building (IR) inspection. The home inspector, Jim, arrived on time and appeared knowledgeable about basic home systems and the InterNACHI standards. He spent about 3 hours on site and did a reasonably thorough job. He found a couple things that I did not find and I pointed out a couple things that he missed (I'm pretty knowledgeable about homes to and hired them as a second set of eyes) so he could add those to his report. He walked us through the report and provided appropriate insight into the issues. The formal report was provided the next day and was detailed including pictures. I would give this portion o the inspection 4 to 4.5 stars. During the course of the inspection, the sewer scope inspector arrived. He performed a basic video scope of the sewer and said it looked better than any he had seen that day (this is a newer house, so didn't expect any issues). The report provided for this was very terse, stating nothing was found (sufficient for this case). The video was available online. I would prefer having a copy of the video myself instead of just online access, but this service met our minimum needs. The thermal inspector also arrived during the home inspection window and performed an interior inspection with a FLIR infrared camera and his cell phone camera. After his inspection, he pointed out a few areas where the insulation could be improved but found that overall the home was well insulated. The report received the next day on the thermal inspection included a bullet list of 8 issues found followed by a number of thermal images and pictures of the home. None of the images were annotated and some of the bullet item descriptions were a bit vague so the report made it difficult to determine exactly where some of the problems exist. When Axiom called to follow up, I asked if they could update the report to provide some annotation of the pictures so it was more clear where the issues were (a picture of a drywall corner or seam is difficult to locate on its own and thermal images are even harder to decipher) and the inspector said they would do that for me as I knew that I would likely forget the exact locations pointed out during the walk through by the time we close on the house (a lot of stuff goes on when you are buying a house and I didn't want to forget what was found). Unfortunately, the updated report was never provided. This is the primary reason for the lower grades and I would improve my rating if they would provide the updated report that would better allow me to address the insulation issues found. Overall, I would recommend Axium as they do seem to be better than the average for home inspections.
