Chimney Doctor started in 1981 in response to the energy crisis of the late 1970s. There was a higher demand for energy efficient alternatives, such as wood stoves, and Chimney Doctor sought to provide the highest level of service. To this day Chimney Doctor is the most qualified specialist in the North Central, Oklahoma area, double certified as a CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep and an NFI Certified Woodburning Specialist. Both require ongoing technical training and education, including adherence to strict safety and ethical codes, as well as liability and business education.
