They were very easy to work with scheduling the job, and showed up on time to get it done. Lenny was very knowledgeable and a fast efficient hard worker. Kind and courteous as well.

Lenny was great. He was honest and very informational. Due to the age and condition of our carpet, he told us that stretching and cleaning it would not give us the results we were looking for. We appreciated his honesty, and his suggestions on alternative solutions for our flooring needs.

Project: Repair, Refasten, or Stretch Carpeting- For Business
I called the company since the carpet on our stairs began to detach. Larry came and fixed the issue even with our stairs not being made of wood. He was able to look at our non-carpet issues and indicated that he would need a few days to recommend someone for fixing our marble like floor and would provide an estimate to repair our marble stairs. I would recommend this company.

Hired Lenny to perform a repair on our laminate floor that began to buckle in the center of the floor due to moisture in the basement. Buckle was repaired, but the repair and the rest of aftermath was completely unacceptable. The repair required some relief around the perimeter of the floor to allow for the floor to move a little with moisture variances. Lenny trimmed boards near the perimeter to obtain relief. All the cutting was done in our finished basement which left dust sprayed over the entire basement every picture, table, chair, and including three high-end gaming desktop PCs setup in the basement for my children. The clean up itself took me over 2 hours. No drop cloths or means to contain the dust were used during the process. He said he used a shop vac, but that did nothing to contain the mess. In addition, the job was left unfinished. Trim moldings were left unattached and others not properly affixed and several boards that were not loose before are now loose. Even the repair itself wasn't done satisfactorily. Center boards were cutout (it is a continuous interlocking floating floor) and appear to be glued in with caulking around them to hide the edges. The caulking has already come loose and now we have to figure out how to hide the center section of the room with a rug. Lenny claimed is not a "finisher" for this type of work. I would agree as the job is not finished. I will have more time in the cleanup and fixing then the actual job took him. His rate for the job and time spent was very high. He did provide a partial refund of 25% of the job, but I still do not think it was anywhere near worth it. After the job, Lenny explained that he should have never taken the job. I would have expected a better explanation of the repair and surely would have expected better attention the mess that it created.
Response by Cincinnati Floor Repair: Steve could have been more honest. Truth's left out. We have never met, he never chose to be a part of the process, His wife had called 1 year prior for us to look at, they then let the damaged floor sit for an additional full year before having work done, or they may have been getting other bids. Then the only material remaining for us to use was damaged on all the edges, yet the homeowner agreed to use as best as possible. The flooring had to be cut in place due to improper original installation, cutting outside was not an option where the flooring was against walls, (which you can not do on a laminate floor). The basement was full of dirt and mold including mold that was coming up through the existing flooring, The floor was left cleaner than we found it with the exception of light dust from shop vac. We actually repaired areas that were completly ruined by original install to try to buy the homeowner time before having to replace. We never caulked anything as well as told customer we do not offer any finish work such as trim work. Upon completion his wife who was very pleasant inspected the work, signed off on contract and thanked us for the work. Again as far as price, we never ever start a job before price is quoted and agreed upon, so I am not sure why Steve then chose to say he thought the price was high. Yes we did refund money because we genuinely care if someone is not 100% happy. We also offered to bring in a professional cleaning service. We then offered to return and help out in any manner possible. All of which Steve said no to. I truly believe if Steve were being honest, he was upset at his already damaged basement flooring knowing it needs replaced and was looking for that. We should have never taken the job due to the working conditions in basement, however that is on us. I trust that we tried our best to meet this customers needs and our reputation speaks for itself from our long list of existing reviews. Lenny/CFR
