Project: Install Drywall

Project was drywall in basement (interior wall and ceiling) Good Initial communication and quick quote process- Price about average. Owner said they would start on Monday - never got final confirmation and they didn't show up. When I called owner, he said they would start on Wed. (which they did). Had to stay on top of them - seemed to be a lack of communication between crew and owner on job scope and details. Good job managing the dust and cleaned up well. Initial quality was poor particularly the corners and edges. However, owner came back afterwards and was able to fix most of the bigger problems. Overall final quality was so-so.

Terrible workmanship. I spent a week trying to repair bad joints, holes, un-even surfaces, broken out areas, etc. I still could not make it look like a pro job no matter what. I wish that I had done it myself. My children could have done the same quality of work.

Response by Complete Home Maintenance, LLC: I am sorry to hear that Mr. F did not like the job we did in his bathroom. I personally went to the house the last day and sanded the small areas one of my guys patched. I spoke with Mr. F and walked around the room with him. He said it looked fine and gave me a check. The only problem we had during the job was that the studs (not installed by us) were uneven. We mentioned the problem to the homeowner before we continued with the job.

Project: Gutters & Downspouts - Clean

The contractor showed up on time and completed the job. The cost was comparable to other contractors bidding on the same job. I was a little disappointed that when they cleaned the gutters they just threw all the debris on the ground and left it for me to clean up and bag.

Response by Complete Home Maintenance, LLC: We clean up the debri when possible. It was December, after the cut-off date for leaf removal. The leaves were coming out of the gutters in large blocks of ice due to the unseasonally cold temps. I discussed this with the Gentleman who I had dealt with (who was a friend visiting). I even tried to ring the doorbell a few times. The owner never came out. She sent payment out with the friend.
