Worst contractor I have had dealings with. Had to come back three times and it still is not correct. Would never hire these people again. Wish I had gone with someone else. Never listened to me and did things the wrong way. All they wanted was the check and to be gone. Bad all the way around.

Damaged overhang not replaced as billed for - just plastered over. Very poor sanding/scraping. Lied about fixing leak. Paint chips all over. Broke branches on bush. Forgot to paint door top. Threw paint on grass. Ruined storm door with power wash – paint job to fix it very poor. No paint left for touch-ups. Paint spatters all over the bricks. Painted shut the storm windows to the window sill so that they don’t open. Said he did not subcontract, but the crew was using their own equipment. Rushed, sloppy job. Finally, after the hefty fee, he asked me to tip them.

Initially I was impressed because he made a point of showing me that he was insured and bonded. But once the work started, he tried to tell me I needed work in another area (that had already been done), and then he charged me extra for paint -- even though the paint charges were the largest part of the bill. Be sure to get him to describe exactly what is and is not covered in the estimate. Quality was good but cost was too high.

Estimate extremely high. If your rqmt is not very urgent ,it is imperitive you get more estimates. Davis uses "carnival" selling techniques. He made estimate w/never seeing roof. He asked I provide paint for inside ceiling. He to clean ceiling but did not have the cleaner which I had to provide. He missed 2 appointments. He searched for addl jobs;I agreed to addl work and he advised he needed oil for sprayer, could I provide it. He didnt have enough sand for mortar and asked if I could provide it.They are very high pressure Co.

Project: Repair a Brick, Stone or Block Wall
The facade of my home was damaged by the East Coast earthquake and then threatened by Hurricane Irene. Mike, though inundated with requests for assistance, established immediate contact with me, stayed in touch to let me know when he could come by the house, inspected the damage promptly, and had a crew secure the exposed area as the first rain drops fell. The cost of the project was reasonable and then completed within 48 hours. Mike was extremely courteous and responsive, the work was very affordable, and he understood the urgency of finding an interim solution to get my home through the hurricane. I'll use Davis Contractign again.

This contractor wrote a proposal that was vague. I thought it included everything we discussed, but it did not. He then wanted more money for the things I thought were included. So, if I were to use them again, I would be much more clear about the contract & ask them to be more clear in writing the contract. The work was finished in a timely manner, but cost me more than I contracted for & had to get someone else to finish at a more reasonable cost. The work was roof, soffit, fascia and rotted wood on the outside of the house..
