They did a good job building a bow-front deck with pressure-treated pine and cedar railings, but did not warn me that when you decide on metal balusters, you must realize that they will get stained whatever color the deck is stained (6 weeks after it is built, to allow for weathering first). There is no way to protect those black metal poles since stainers use a sprayer, they don't paint it on. Also they left at least 5 stray nails under our deck that I was finding and removing from the mulch for months afterwards, so a child or pet would not step on them - very poor cleanup job. One of the boards popped up at the end, because they only put one nail in it instead of 2 like the other boards.

They did an excellent job. I am sure I paid a little more than if I had looked more but the deck came out just what I was looking for and more.

Deck Pro did excellent work and we are pleased with our brand new deck! They built it in 3 days (less time than originally estimated). Crew came promptly in the mornings and worked throughout the day till evening. We were kept abreast of what was done every day by Tamara, who checked to make sure we were satisfied. Crew cleaned up every evening before they left and was professional. You can probably get the job done cheaper by going elsewhere, but we believe we received great quality and prompt service for what we paid. I am truly surprised by all the negative reviews on this site and on the BBB. I am glad my experience was different.

I would not trust the company to build a deck. They are not a honest company, goal is to get paid and move on as fast as they can. We had some concerns on pitch of the roof + distance between support posts. Hired a professional engineer to give us a third party opinion and he validated that both were issues. Results: 4 months later they added 2 posts (took 10+ calls and used the excuse they couldn't find the ladder). In regards to the roof, they have promised the owner Frank would reach out to us and we will haven't heard from him and it is post 6 months of "completion". Be careful with them and make sure your payment schedule is back loaded and after you sign off on the deck being to 100% of your satisfaction.

Great starters but bad finishers. The iniital crew was friendly and worked very hard. The final finishers (electric, stainers, etc) did not measure up. Several items that were promised by owner but not put into contract never got done. The new screened porch and deck looks good minus a few missing touches.

Please read and research before signing a contract with them. Wesley was a good salesperson. Sold us on photos of beautiful decks. Once the contract was signed and payment made, customer service was non-existent. We special ordered a star that looked horrendous because it didn't work with our deck layout. The salesperson should have known it wouldn't work. Luckily, we noticed and had it removed. Materials were delivered.on Friday am with assurances workers would be starting the job Friday afternoon or Saturday even though it was a holiday weekend. No one showed up Friday or Saturday. We had to deal with a backyard full of materials with company for the weekend. Monday at 8am (Memorial Day), workers showed up unexpectedly. We couldn't reach anyone in the office. A 2 day job turned into a couple of weeks. During that whole process, workers didn't show up when they were supposed to and phone calls weren't returned. Frustration was expressed. Spoke to Tamara. She said things would be taken care of, and they weren't. We even asked early on for a sales rep to call us because we wanted a quote on additional work, but they apparently didn't need the work because they would not return the calls. About two weeks before time to get the deck stained, we called to verify that they would be putting on two coats of stain, and they said yes. The worker shows up, stains the deck once and says he will return to do second coat the next day. So we waited, and there was no call, no show. We spoke to Tamara again that day at 5 pm and were assured he would still be there that day to complete. Again, he did not show. The next day he comes by, finishes staining the frame (still first coat), and leaves without a word. We called multiple times and finally got Tamara. She tells us that it only comes with one coat even though we had verified it prior, and they had said two coats. The conversation continued with us expressing our frustration over the lack of customer service. Her response was that she spoke to the owner, and they could put a second coat of stain on for $1000!!!! They must think we're idiots if we would agree to that offer. She thanked us for the "feedback" and we said "why because you won't do anything with it." After reading the recent reviews, we are assured that they will not do anything with the feedback. It appears they use sub-contractors for the majority of their jobs and don't care about customer satisfaction. Never in a million years would we use them again or recommend them to anyone. After reading other reviews, we feel fortunate that we didn't have as many issues as some of them have had, and it wasn't a larger project. If all went well with the deck, we were going to use them for a screened-in porch or sunroom, among other projects we will be doing in our home.

Review by a homeowner in Lawrenceville, GA
Write the contract with this contractor. Do not let them prepare the contract. Also make sure to agree on a timetable with target dates for the completion of each task. In 1 week, they poured concrete, did framing and roofing for a majority of the agreed upon contract value - 80% to be exact. In the next three months they got the glass in but tried to get paid ahead of installing the glass work completely and installing the air-conditioning unit. The Air-conditioning laid about for 5 weeks after, as they claimed, that they couldn't find an air-conditioning specialist to put on the unit. Finally, the Air-Conditioning unit was installed but still has no Power or provisioning for it as at this writing. The Air-conditioning unit agreed to at contract signing was a window unit. All the construction pointed to installing a window unit. Contractor chose unilaterally to buy a cheaper split unit. They then discovered that it will cost more money to install that unit and started holding back on fitting the new unit until a complaint was launched. The flooring of the enclosure slopes away from the building and no effort was made to make it level. This was agreed upon at contract signing but this contractor will not do what they promise if you pay them ahead of them doing it. There is no supervision of their staff and what their staff says overrides the customer's insight. This contractor verbally threatened to lock me up when I retracted payment for a job that was not complete after 5 weeks of payment. He called me a felon and a thief. After 4 months and 18k spent, room is still not usable because only 1.5k is left to be paid. The concrete poured has cracked open. The roof gutters are not covered as was agreed. On many occasions this contractor will not show up on site even after they have stated they would.

Review by Robert C. in Buford, GA
Frank the owner had no problem lying to my face on 4 separate occasions about how he would get the project finished and the problems corrected. subcontractor got short paid on money by deck pro and did a poor job . got in a hush to leave and never finished punchlist or corrected the not to code items. Frank refused to return and inspect the work. had to file lawsuit against them.. deck still not completed 90 days later
Response by DeckPro, Inc.: Mr C changed the contract with his stairway after the deck was built, Frank told him the way he wanted the stairs was not code and would not work, but Mr C insisted on us changing them to have a better view. After the change was made Mr. C decided he wanted them put back originally had them, but refused to pay for the change and still owes us $1454 for his orginal change. We did the punch out for Mr. C five times and everything is exactly as it should be except his steps are slightly off less then 1" because they are a straight line of over 20 steps (which we suggested he NOT do).

We hired Deck Pro and were very excited since we had some friends who used them and recommended them. The three day job turned into three weeks and even though I paid them cash on time, we still have not received the stain and replacement work for cracked boards. They used plywood for a frame around a fire pit and have not come back to fix it. We have called for the past month and were told on multiple times they would be by to do the repair work and deliver the stain. It has been three months and still no stain. Frank Fore, the owner sold the company on lies and empty promises.
Response by DeckPro, Inc.: I am sorry Tim, we did attempt on 3 different occasions to get your stain and boards out to you, but didn't make it. I did get them to you finally last week and we still have to come and fix the frame on the firepit and put in the boards. We have been behind on our punch outs and I am trying to rectify the matter.
