5.0 star rating 12/31/2016. I had what I thought to be a simple drain clog in my daughter's bathtub so I called Bill to "snake" it out. I was disappointed when Bill told me that was not the issue and that more work would be required. In fact, he broke his snaking mechanism (did not charge me), so I knew the problem was significant. My house was custom built so when Bill told me the only place to access the pipes, to fully diagnose the problem, was in my kitchen under/behind my cabinetry, I nearly fainted. Here I was with a clogged drain and now we're taking down cabinets which would require both carpentry and electrical... in addition to plumbing expertise. Afraid of doing all this work and then realizing this wasn't the right path or that bigger problems lay ahead, I hesitated. I approached Bill with my concerns and asked that we put a "price ceiling" on the job. Bill was confident in his diagnosis and his ability to tackle all aspects of the job and so agreed to the price ceiling. He spent most of the day (happened to be election day) doing the work. Bill dealt with the cabinetry and electrical as though he was skilled/trained in both those areas (I watched him perform most of the work), rightly diagnosed both where the pipes were located and that something much more than hair/gook was the problem (in fact, the entire plunger mechanism had dislodged and sunk into the pipe!!) and replaced the pipe and plunger hardware. Bill was kind, courteous and transparent with all aspects of the job throughout the process. His price was fair and the job was done correctly. 2 months later I had a much easier/smaller job to do (replace the hot water "butler" under my sink) and I knew just who to call. To keep cost down, Bill was able to work with some of my existing hardware and just replace the part that was problematic. In the process he also noted another problem with my refrigerator ice/water maker and fixed that on the spot! In my business and in life I value the importance of a good relationship, where both parties benefit and both parties can be trusted. In this day and age, relationships that meet this criteria are hard to come by. Bill has proven that his business is relationship driven as well, that he values these same principles. He is reachable, responsive, transparent, trust worthy and highly skilled. If there is more to ask of a plumber, I'm not sure what it is. If you are looking for a band-aid solution at a lower price, Bill is not your man. If you want a comprehensive, lasting solution and are willing to pay a fair price, Bill Duncan is the guy. Mike M.
Response by The Plumbing Artisans, Inc.: Most people do not take this kind of time to write how and what I did for them. Thank you so much for trusting me enough to do this difficult job and giving me such high praise.

Very courteous and got the job done, but charged way too much for a relatively simple job.

Stay Away -ripoff and sloppy work
Response by The Plumbing Artisans, Inc.: Totally my fault had a new helper that didn't clean up, and I didn't check. I have given this customer a discount and did my best to make it right. He was charged a fair rate for the work that was done but I understand once someone is upset there's no making them happy.

Fixed a leak in my bathroom sink. Required two trips. The first visit was shortly around 1 pm on a Friday and he was done in approximately a half hour. Had difficulty contacting after first trip to inform him that the sink was still leaking. I suspect he didn't want to come for the second visit on the weekend so I didn't get a response until my third contact attempt. Received a text that he would come first thing Monday. Ended up replacing the faucet and much of the pipes under the sink. Cost over $500 plus parts. I'm not a happy camper.
Response by The Plumbing Artisans, Inc.: There were 2 issues. Fixed drain tested all was good. Received 1 call responded went back immediately found the faucet had also failed. The previouswork was done by a non licensed person who did a very poor job and used sub standard parts. They just happenned to fail one after another. Work was performed timely, neatly and professionaly. Please don't hire unlicensed people you will end up with issue somewhee down the road.
