Project: Build a Garage

Mike was knowledgeable, however there were a couple of minor "glitches" involving having to custom order garage doors (which he did not realize until the day of delivery) and that set the project back by two weeks. There was also a crack that developed across the center of the concrete slab after the project was complete and when I called Mike about it, he said that it should not have happened. However, after talking to the concrete contractor, he said that it was intentional. I was surprised that he didn't know that immediately, if he was experienced with this kind of work. There were also a few communication problems. I will take responsibility for not being totally clear about some of the things we discussed and agreed to, for example the cost of replacing siding. Mike worked to make sure that everything was clear and that I was happy at the end. I had a vague feeling that he was overcharging me for some aspects of the project, for example putting a curtain on the slab in front of the garage door. He told me that he "would not guarantee the work" if a curtain was not added. However, the company which put in the driveway said that it was totally unnecessary. Overall, the work was done well and I am very happy with my garage. I would hire them again and recommend them to friends.

Response by Executive Exteriors & Remodeling: Thanks for your kind feedback. When you explained the stress crack's location I stated you should not have one there, but when I looked at the job I realized what you were actually talking about was the intentional plastic separator in the middle of the slab to control where it cracks. When adding a garage we always recommend an apron to go past the backfill area otherwise you have sinking issues around the foundation. The asphalt driveway company should know better than to not recommend a concrete apron, and clearly didn't know what they were talking about.

I hired Executive Exteriors to fix my roof after a large tree broke through the roof and ceiling of my livingroom. I can't say enough good things about Mike the general contractor and his crew. The workers were very courteous and polite and I felt that I could leave them in my home when I wasn't there. Not only did they do an excellent job in fixing my roof but I could tell they took pride in their work. You could see the quality in their work and even did additional things that weren't within their scope because they felt they need to be taken care of. My home is over 50 years old and several other people owning this home so you can imagine the challenges I sometimes face. The workers were great and even gave me recommendation on other things that I should be aware of with my home. They went above and beyond my expectations and I can't thank them enough for all the hard work they put into reparing my home.

Project: Remodel a Basement

We had a great experience with Executive Exteriors. Mike worked really hard to make sure we stuck to our budget. All of the guys he brought in to work on our basement were friendly and respectful. Overall we were very pleased with the work done on our house. In the next few years we hope to remodel our kitchen and would very much like to work with Executive Exteriors again.

The work was excellent. The estimate process was very professional. He explained each aspect of the work to be done, evaluating projected expenses if unforseen discoveries were found. Made suggestions when asked. I really appreciated their patience with all my up-front questions. Scheduled start date changed a few times, and was completed a little later in the summer than anticipated. Once started, the work was done well. End of day clean-up was good. I would recommend them.

Started the project late and very poor workmanship.

Response by Executive Exteriors & Remodeling: We have posted photos of the work on our video channel showing the workmanship, and it is top quality! We contacted the customer offering to repair anything they were unhappy about as well several times and they declined. The job went over the budget because the customer spent more than their allowances on tile and fixtures. We are dedicated to doing quality work at a fair price and customer satisfaction is our number one priority. We feel a 1 star rating across is not indicative of how the job truly went and know for a fact this customer is just trying to tarnish our name.
