My experience with Fidelity Locksmith Services has been as bad as any company I've ever dealt with. We lost the key to our garage. One of their technicians came out to fix it; we were told it couldn't be re-keyed, they'd have to replace the handle. And it was a unique handle, so they'd have to order it. No problem. It will come in a week. When it arrives, the same technician comes to install it. When he's done he brings me out to show it works, and the handle jams. The garage door is stuck shut. The keys work, so picking the lock won't do anything. He can't uninstall it, because he needs to be inside the garage, and the only entrance is stuck shut. He tries to leverage the handle with pliers, which only damages the handle, and doesn't fix the issue. He tells us he'll come back later that night with a second person to fix it. He doesn't. That was Tuesday. I'm writing this on Saturday. I've called the technician AND the company every day since Tuesday, and I've gotten a variety of different responses, but no solutions. We just had someone come out this morning for the first time since then, and when the new technician arrived, he had no idea what was going on. He thought I was a new client, with a new job, and was fully ill-equipped to deal with a lock that worked, but a handle that didn't. But he assured me he'd move forward. While he worked, I called the company to figure out why he didn't have the correct information when he arrived, and to find out when our door will be accessible again. As I was on hold with them, he just left. He didn't say anything about leaving, he didn't finish (or, it seems, even start) the job. He just left. I was told over the phone that a field supervisor would be coming to help, and he'd call me about it, but he hasn't called. ON TOP OF ALL THAT: when the original technician came to diagnose the situation, he double parked my driveway. There was plenty of room for him to park in the driveway, and there was ample unrestricted street parking. But he chose immediately blocking the driveway. On his return trip to install the new handle, he parked halfway blocking my driveway, and halfway blocking my neighbor's driveway. Again, ample available street parking. At this point, I would have rather just never been able to open my garage again, if it meant not having to deal with Fidelity Locksmith Services. But since they locked my door and damaged the handle, I'm stuck with them until they fix it. I'm told they'll replace it at the latest by Tuesday...but they've now quoted me $350 (what?!?!?!) which would have been outrageous if everything were done perfectly. They were able to open our doors Saturday night and made a apt Monday to install new handle didn't show up on appointment and didn't bother to cancel when I called I was told they would have the pat latest by Thursday I was told Saturday the part would be latest by Tuesday and find unlikely for them to keep this appointment.
