Steve shoed up 5 minutes early and called before he approached the front door. The problem turned out ot be much more simple than expected, so he discounted his quoted rate by 40%. I would definitely call Steve again.

The technician came out and serviced my fireplace. When he left, it was working fine, which save me about $3500 for the purchase of a new unit.

Floyd was very nice to come out of his way (ie. 45+ minute drive) to inspect our gas burning furnace. He gave a very indepth diagnosis of the problem and a viable solution. Highly Recommend Floyd.

My fireplace works. I learned from the repairman a couple of things including that I could use batteries in it to start it when the power is off and also that many fireplace repair places do not work on Heatalators and he told me that Fireside, corp. in Kent or Auburn (I forgot) does work on them and can also provide new parts for them. This knowledge can help me in the future if it stops working. I wish I had done more research when building the house and I would have had a different kind of fireplace installed. The one I have doesn't provide much heat, lets in a lot of cold air, and is mostly just for looks. A waste of money I think.
