Project: Install or Replace Wood Stairs and Railings
This contractor came to the house to look at the project area and provide an estimate. As part of the process, he took the time to go through books of railing types and go over options. I learned a lot during that session. His price was equal to another lower bid, but I selected him because of this additional customer service. He scheduled work for the next week and we are very pleased with the result.

Pedro's price was moderate, but he takes pride in his work. He seems to be a railing specialist. He did a great job, and I thnk I got my money's worth.

Project: Refinish Wood Flooring
We had 1st floor sanded and refinished except for kitchen and 2 bedrooms, which just needed varnish redone. Also had metal railings in foyer replaced with oak. Gypsy's owner had recommended we not get hallway sanded-was in good shape. However, when job was done, there was a dark irregular line where the end bedroom connected to the hallway. He said this was because it was flush with the hallway, versus other rooms which joined along a plank edge so no seam noticeable. Would have had hall sanded from the start--the redo cost $300, which cut into Gypsy's $900 savings vs 2 competitors. Some sloppiness so be sure to check work before paying.

Project: Refinish Wood Flooring
Pedro from Gipsy Floors was prompt in responding to my request for a quote. He was very professional and explained the floor refinishing process clearly and his quote was reasonably priced. It took two days to have the floors sanded, sealed and applied two coats of oil based poly plus filled in large gaps in the wood. He overseed the project every step of the way and the finished product looked great. My floors sparkle and look brand new! I would definitely recommend Pedro from Gipsy Floors on the excellent job he did on refinishing my floors.

Jose was amazing. He did painstakingly perfect work in time for our tight deadline. At first I thought his price was high, but my timing was so tight, I accepted his estimate. Then I saw all of the care and hours he put into his work and I felt like it was well worth it.
