Problem I have had withcompany my own fault didn't read contract throughly, pay 2 mo.in advance - never pay in advance for services! Added $175.00 for the start up clean, which has never been done - they have been here 3 times now & include that work with their regular maintainence. So we have not paid it. We ask they let us know they come & leave in case we want to discuss something, don't.. Communication poor, bill appear saiud for Nov, paid f in Oct. Now told Dec, in the middle of Nov. Don't know when they come .Signd checmical contract for 6 mo. now told it's 8! Said they'd call 24 advance Never have. I expect to much I guess!!

Response by Green Thumb Landscapes, Inc.: Bonnie has been a great customer although she forgets that the first three visits the crew of 3 spent over 4 hours cleaning the beds out, pruning all plants and getting the property in shape. The property was in disarray when we started.Not sure why she was unhappy with a $175.00 charge that encountered so much extra time. They are an older couple, in their late 70's or early 80's. Mr, C. is ex military and I gave them a substantial break on the price for the work we have done....all clean up is complete & has been for quite awhile. I never received the chemical contract from them.

I hired GreenThumb to blow leaves from my yard. They blew away leaves & the pinestraw from the sides & backyard, leaving bare dirt. The property looked bad for my renters on their movein. I'd never had problem with blowing leaves & keeping pine straw in the past. I contacted Hank expecting him to replace straw. However, their response was to tell me there wasnt pine straw there (despite pics and straw in the front) & to offer to charge me $6 a bale to relay. No thanks!! The quote they gave me and price I paid was competitive with other bids, so I'll give them 2.5 stars on that. I cannot recommend this company as my experience was poor.

Response by Green Thumb Landscapes, Inc.: This customer hired us to clean up the leaves that were 12 inches thick and wet. We used our back blowers to this work, We charged this client only$150.00 that a crew of 3 people spent 3 hours (9 hours of labor) cleaning up this mess. The pine straw that barely existed was old, grey with a lot of soil showing (clearly needed fresh pine straw). He was anticipating getting fresh pine straw from us to compensate him. I explained to him that we can do that aspect of additional work for a fee of $6.00 per bale.....He needed 150 bales for this property....he wanted this free. He was not happy, as I explained, "we don't work for free"

Within 10 minutes of filling out the form, Hank Sickerman, from Green Thumb, called me. He was in my area, so less than 10 minutes later, he arrived at my home. He was very thorough and professional. He provided me with information about his company, a list of their services and references. His crew arrive two hours later and did a really good job. I was in a panick to find someone to clean up my yard as I was going to have a pool party. Green Thumb was a blessing. Hank has provided me a contract for regular service and his prices are more reasonable than 4 other companies I have interviewed.

I'm very pleased with the way the work was handled. Very businessness like. So far the lawn has been cut twice and I was pleased with the way it was handled. The invoice came to me online and its very easy to handle paying, no getting up early to catch them to pay them. Hope this relationship will work out.

Project: Install Brick or Stone Patios, Walks, and Steps

I had tile installed on front steps. The project was orginally a 2 day project, but ended being 1 week. The agreed upon contract was not itemized, and the charges mounted to over $500 more than agreed estimate, although measurements were taken prior to agreement. The project did not look finished.

Response by Green Thumb Landscapes, Inc.: due to weather conditions (cooler than normal) we had the let the mortar set 2 extra days. Customer asked for extra work to be done and was given the price for the add on. (he felt it should have been included) all work was completed and we were paid balance.

Hank transformed my yard from a jungle to a park in one day. Then came back the following day to address serious drainage issues on my property. Prompt, professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend to all.
