James from Hackman did an excellent job on our stairs. He was also very accommodating to our schedule and made sure that the product was exactly what we wanted. We will be using Hackman Custom Woodworking for the rest of our project.

James is very professional in every phase of the project, from meeting us to review the requested work to presenting us various options to receiving an initial and revised estimates (based on our changes) to installation. If it wasn't for Service Magic, we would not have found James and we are glad that we did. James is an excellent craftsman and takes pride in his work and it really shows. The railing looks like it has always been there (37 year old house) and the step he repaired does not even look like it was ever broken. We are very happy with everything and we definitely made the right decision in hiring Hackman Custom Woodworking.

James and his crew were extremely meticulous in their work, and completed thier work with as little disruption to our home as possible. They came when they said they would be there, and stayed late to get the job done on schedule. We could not be more complementary of their workmanship and attention to detail, they are truly skilled craftsmen. They built new stairs in our foyer that have a difficult turn and balconies, our back stairs that have a balcony and installed crown moulding in our dining room, and every thing they did turned out better than we could have anticipated. We give them an A+++ rating.

Five stars is not enough to give to James and his team! They did an outstanding job with our staircase (oak stairs and railings, wrought iron balusters). I wish I could post a photo because it turned out so nice! I would recommend James without hesitation! Not only did they do a great job, but they were able to meet our quick turn around deadline (they worked until 11:00 on Friday night to get the job done!), were very reasonably priced, clean, and paid attention to detail that most contractors skip over. I was impressed with how everything had to be "perfect." No doubt, James Hackman and his team do above and beyond outstanding work.

They are fantastic. It's nice to know that there are still some old time craftsmen left. They replaced a very steep stair way with a beautiful comfortable to walk stairway. The were also very neat and removed all the debris. Thank you Servicemagic for a great service.
