Project: Hire a Handyman
Nice guy but told us it would be done in 2 days its been 3 and not done - now hes saying he won't be back for 3 days when we both work full time and told him we needed it to be finished. He worked 4 hours one days 3 the next and 3-4 the next - no wonder its not done. Its also not as I wanted. The painting near the trim is messy - I have painted many rooms before only hired someone to do this one becasue we have really high cielings and I don't have any brush marks on the wall like he does. Also there are spots that still need another coat becasue it ddin't take well - after us buying primer per his request.
Response by Handyman Constructions: Didn't sign contract, funny didn't mention the repair 36 ft long, 18 ft high that in itself took 2 days, i never told them 2 days, a sarcastic New Yorker, found an excuse not to pay me 400.00 to finish the painting, I believe that you can only complain about a paint job when you are finished not before, I was there 3 days plus I worked on Veteran"s day to finish it faster. What they wrote is not the truth, I like to see them prove that.

Project: Hire a Handyman
No written estimate. Overcharged. Required my help. Asked why I didn't give him a "bonus" at the end because he thought he went above and beyond.
Response by Handyman Constructions: A nightmare a woman that cannot do anything right and calls herself a handywoman. She broke a lock set in her front door , she tried to install a fluorescent light in a closet and later I found out that parts for the light where missing. We agreed on 200.00 she gave me a deposit of 100.00 I gave her a receipt with the description of the work (why do you need a contract). I was able to repair and install the lock and the fluorescent light, due to my expertise she gave me the 100.00. I though that I deserved a bonus because I was there to install not to make parts for her light. So she gave me my 100.00 and I left, She is not a honest person

Project: Repair Drywall
Not a very good job. Wonderful guy but not a good spackling job.
Response by Handyman Constructions: I went to his house to repair 5 holes that he made on his ceiling. While I was working he stops me from and ask me about his door that he has problems with I gave him my opinion. An hour later on while I was working on his kitchen he stopped and took me to his basement and showed me 3 sheets of drywall that he wanted me to install, I told him that the Spackle that I had was to fix was to fix holes not to install drywall , plus I did not have any tape. He said go ahead and do it. When I was done he gave me 3 chairs and told me that he was going to call me do redo his bathroom. Not very honest person.

Project: Install or Replace Exterior Doors
If you look for amateur , he is the one ?install my door ,leaking all over my floor ,he has to come back 3 times before it stop the leaks, legal might follow......
Response by Handyman Constructions: I installed his door on September. 22 when we had the torrential rain. The rain washed out the caulking that I installed around 10 am was supposed to dry in 3 hours, but due to the torrential rain at around 10 pm it washed out the caulking from the trailer door ishe lives 1 hour each way from my house, when he called me I went there for his rescue and in the rain I went was able to stop the rain from going into the house, i rented a vacuum cleaner to suck up the water from his floor, then moisture was building up between the doors so that was fixed. I did all I could to rescue him, you can't fight mother nature.
