Project: Hire a Handyman
Darrell is a nice person, but not a good handyman. The work he did was not done well at all. He does not clean up his mess. He left paint on my garage floor from placing a roller on it. He didn't get all of the paint spatters off of my new appliances and new countertop. He left spots that were not complete with the paint. He also went way over into the next room with the paint instead of keeping a clean edge. The new countertop has a huge gap where it did not meet the wall. He doesn't know what he is doing obviously. We tried to save money and are sorry we didn't just pay the extra for someone who really knows what they are doing.
Response by Handyman Services: Amy was unhappy from the start. Her walls were so bad as far as straightness went it was impossible to install the new top with out gaps. Suggested trim along the tops, but was told no. Walls had tile that was removed above the counter tops which helped with the gaps, but they chose not to replace the tile. Clean up was done every day before we left. Unreasonable people. Wanted a project done in three days that took five. Very sorry I took this project. Funny that 5 out of six reviews were 5 stars and this one was 1/2 star. Please.

Project: Install Natural Stone Tile
Darrell did a beautiful job on my stone tile installation. He was very accommodating to my schedule, and he took great care to complete the job perfectly. He was careful and neat with the supplies and tools, and ensured that my kitchen was usable during the project (when material had to set and it was necessary for him to come back). I would highly recommend him, and will definitely call him again with any other changes or improvements I need help with.

Project: Paint or Stain Single Items
We had an excellent experience with Darrell. Not only was he on time everyday, he was a pleasure to be around, which is great when you have someone in your home on a daily basis. The job took longer than expected, thru no fault on his part (another contractor's mistakes that Darrell was able to fix for us!)! We plan to use him on quite a few jobs in the future.. We also recommended him to my mom, and a few other family members and friends. Really, really GREAT JOB!

They were able to work us in before the rain set in. They came on Saturday and were done by Sunday afternoon.
