Project: New Windows - 2
Very professional installation. Had some scheduling issues but finally resolved and very happy with the window installation. We will use them again for more projects.

This is the worst contractor I have ever dealt with, their workers were either goofing off on the job or grossly lacking in skills. The end product is fair quality but nowhere near the quality I expected from a professional contractor. The only exception was the primary tile guy, he did a great job but was only here for just over a week because they needed him elsewhere and the tile guy that finished the work seemed to lack the necessary skills. The salesman told us the remodel would be completed in 2 ½ weeks he then wrote 90 to 120 days on the contract, the last item was finally done on day 162. Workers were to be here 5 days a week from 8:00am to 4:00pm and the job manager would stop by every 3 to 4 days to insure everything was going well. On day 1, two workers showed up to gut the old bathroom and master closet and remove the floor tile. They delivered a 30 foot dumpster (much to our surprise) and placed it on the street in front of our house. The demolition took 2 days and filled a tiny fraction of the dumpster. The next five plus months saw a variety of people, the first guy built a 4 foot wide wall, moved the drain for the new shower, painted the walls and 3 doors, moved 4 electrical outlets a couple of inches (2 that were wrong and I had to move because the worker refused to correct them) and put up the cement board for the new shower. It took almost 4 weeks. He would show up ½ hour late and leave an hour early. Most days he would go to Home Depot 2/3 times and be gone for 1 to 1 ½ hours. Every hour he was here, he would go out to his vehicle for 15 to 20 minutes to smoke and talk on his cell phone. His actual work time was 3 maybe 4 hours per day. Then 2 guys came in to do tile work, which took almost 2 weeks. The first guy did an excellent job but was pulled from the job before he was done with the shower so the floor tile guy finished the shower. The second guy did not match the tile pattern and they refused to fix it until I told them to leave my property. They then agreed to fix the tile. They then sent in a guy to install baseboards, fixtures, mirrors and the cabinet face I had purchased for the closet. That is when they discovered the closet had been built too large for the cabinet face and they left studs exposed at the top. Again refusing to fix the issue. The sub-contractor they hired to cut and install the quartz counter tops cut one of the sink holes 1 ½ inches off center. It took him 2 months to get it corrected and only after I got involved. For 6 weeks I got excuses about the material was no longer made, then he found some in Kentucky and would have it shipped on the next full load, then it was in California and would be shipped. Finally, I called a counter top store and was told it was still available and they could get a top in a few days. When I told Home Masters I had found the material, they finally got the material and cut the top. When they went to install it, the installers discovered it had been cut wrong again. Fortunately, they were able to correct it on site. The only contractor that did an excellent job was on the shower doors. Their installation was the first time any drop cloths or vacuums were used on our job. Near the end of the job, we had a list of 14 items to be corrected and Home Masters sent over a man to correct them. His prior work experience, according to him, was installing insulation in attics. He broke one vanity light and blew debris all over the floor before I asked him to Leave. The first visit by the supervisor was in week 3. I called the owner at one point asking for help, he said he would look into it, I never heard back from him. They also charged my credit card almost $6,000 without notifying me for vanity installation before it was installed. At this point they had well over 90% of their money and only 15 days into the project. Wish I had more room to type but, our nightmare is finally over.

Just say No! We signed a contract 3 months ago with them and our kitchen is still not complete..no counters, unfinished cabinets, no backsplash. Purchased our appliances 2 1/2 months ago..cant have them installed..because of unfinished work. They want half their money when they start..then we didn't hear from them for a month. Then to start demo they want other 50%...They don't answer phone when you call..when workmen do show up you have no warning..then they asked US what to do. Total disaster..Cant believe Homeadvisors even recommended them..

Everything Home Masters did had to be done twice . They have no pride in their work .I will have to hire another contractor to finish my home, and spend more money than I should .

The project started well and went downhill quick. Was told it would take approximately 2 weeks to remodel my small kitchen. The project actually took 8 weeks. When the cabinets were installed the island was built incorrectly and was too short. Took them over 2 weeks to come out and remeasure and rebuild the island. I ordered and paid for countertops thru their perferred supplier, when the counter tops were installed there was not enough to do my island as well. Home Masters stated that they could not find any more quartz in the same color. My island ended up being granite and npt the same as the rest of the kitchen. At the end of the project when I asked for a discount due all the mistakes and the long time line I was offered 250.00 off of a 12,000 dollar project and was talked to like a dog by one of their managers. I have filed a complaint with the state contractor board. Do not use this contractor.

A little more coordination would have been helpful. we did not realize that we were picking sink colors before we were shown the shower colors. So they do not match.

They didn't explain on the contract what was included in the price, had to buy the sink and tile in addition to the original contract. they did not get a permit for the job until the end of the project, a lot of the grout doesn't match, they seemed a bit overwhelmed. The quality of work was subpar and I would never use them again.
