They called even before I'd closed the HomeAdvisor window - they were that fast to respond to my inquiry. They're also at least $50 more expensive than everyone else, but I'd booked with them first and kept my appointment. The guy that came out did an okay job. Not outstanding customer service, but okay. I still have heartburn that I didn't book with someone else to save $50 though. When I mentioned that they were more expensive, the response was something like they'd "get the job done right and had years of experience". But, I don't think dryer vent cleaning requires 28 years of experience to get it right, and I regret not shopping around.

Serviceman was at my home for maybe a total of 20 minutes. Vacuumed out fireplace box and was ready to leave when I pointed out that the box was not totally cleaned out. He had to go to his van to retrieve some tools to remove the fireplace grate in order to complete the vacuuming. Acted like it was more than should be expected. I explained I was paying for a full clean and he was attempting to short change me. He claimed he had also brushed out the chimney stack which I failed to notice. Seems mighty expensive for a few minutes of vacuuming. The grate sits outside my back door and wasn't even cleaned. Up to me to put back, I guess.

I found him a little expensive, but very thorough. He was honest as advertised and explained why he charges more than his competitors. It is up to you how much you want to spend for quality work. He claims that I won't have to clean my ducts for another 4 to 5 years, so I can't really comment until more time has passed.
