Project: Paint, Varnish or Stain Interior Surfaces

Painted over defects in drywall & woodframe vs. repairing the defects first. Had to point the defects out to him. Very disappointed.

Response by JK Construction/Remodeling: This customer started off by telling me how many contractors she had been through.The contract stated to paint ceiling,walls and trim.I patched all holes with 20 minute drywall mud,sanded,primed and painted.Her only complaint was that I mssed a nail hole in the closet.I went back and splackled the hole and repainted the whole closet again,There was also only two coats of finished drywall mud in the whole closet from the original drywall job and she wanted another coat of mud in the closet.I gave this customer over $300.00 in extras and she never said a word about how great the room looks.I think my referances speak of my work.26 years exp!

Jerry was a great pleasure to work with on what really was more of a kitchen/l living room remodel than just a tile install.. He had great ideas, great attitude and did quality work at a reasonable price. Jerry is craftsman and we will have him back for a bathroom and fire place project.

Project: Refinish Already Installed Cabinets

Jerry does exceptional quality work. He porvides and great service for the price. Jerry is very fair in negotiating prices for each job. He will go abovve and beyond often fixing things outside of this project. We hired him to do another job when this one was complete. The only suggestion I have is to be flexible with times and schedules as the times/schedules change.

Jerry is not only building our deck but also built custom bookshelves for us and installed crown molding. He is also doing drywall work and installing all new locks for us. He is truly a jack of all trades and is good at all of them. He is a perfectionist in him work and a pleasure to have around. We would highly recommend him for any kind of work and plan to continue to use him for other projects we have in mind.

Other than some weather problems and confusion about an inspector, the job went well and they finished on time. The quality of work was (still is) very good. I will use them again.
