He was the lowest bidder by a spread of $400. A two day job took him three weeks. He worked in increments of 2 to 4 hours which was really inconvenient over the 3 weeks. Nor did we agree on this time frame. It appeared he was working my job with another job and was squeezing my work into their time. He took it upon himself to change the agreed ht of the gallery rails installed in the kitchen & bathroom because his home is 100 years old and he was matching what he had despite what I asked for. He had to re do the work at no additional cost. I was supposed to reimburse him for materials with a receipt. He had no receipts, nor could he produce the white trim paint for $42. Pending reimbursement. His work was very good however he failed to clean up the areas where he sanded before painting. Positives: He is pleasant, prices are low, maybe too low. Negatives: Too talkative, too slow, doesnt confirm changes. Conclusion: I would use him again.

Response by JL Home Improvement: I was there 7 to 8 hours a day her house was humid so my dry wall mud would not dry so I could paint it was 81degrees inside on the 3rd and 4th floor she was not available on some days I did miss understand her were to put the picture molding up on her walls I did correct it and repainted her walls I did have all receipts her check bounced and still owes me money hard person to work with I cleaned up all areas and did not talk to much since she was not there when I was It was 53 stair's to her first floor and very hot no a/c late summertime

John was very professional. He arrived on time and worked straight through the day. He was neat and organized and did not stop working until the job was done--not even for lunch! I would highly recommend John for any project around the house--small or large.
