Project: Refinish Wood Flooring
John and his team did excellent work and I would highly recommend them to any of my friends or family. Everyone else told us the only option we had was to put down a new floor, but they were able to restore and refinish our original wood flooring and did a great job.

John was great to work with - highly communicative and thorough. The only issue was that John didn't give us samples of the colors he offered. That said, I would 100% use John, and recommend him to friends (and already have!)

John and his team did a great job on my floors. They look fantastic. John was the only contractor who was willing to do the work that we wanted done. Everyone else tried to tell us that we should paint the rails and baseboards, but John was willing to go the extra mile and refinish them. His estimate was reasonable and the job was done in a timely fashion. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family.

My floors look amazing! I have been working on my new home for a few months and can't believe how hard it is to hire people that actually deliver what they say they will. I refinished the existing floors in the home, estimate was fair and they also repaired 2areas that we're damaged. The workers were professional and on time, also good with cleanup. Would definitely hire again, have some family members already interested in hiring. Thanks John for a job well done!

John did not perform the job himself but his colleague had plenty of experience. He did a good job but there was a board damaged when he was fixing the damaged part of the floor. Its not too noticeable but thought it should be addressed. Overall, good job and on time.

I picked John because of the great ratings. He called and came almost immediately to sell the job. He did tell us that we may have to touch up the white moldings and sides and risers of the stairs. His crew made a terrible mess when they stained the wood and when I said something to John he said that he told us that up front - he never bothered to even look. When I asked him 10 days ago if he could drop off a small amount of polyurethane or give me the brand name so I could buy it, he told me that I could pick it up at 7 am at his business. I think a reputable company should fix this problem
Response by John's Hardwood Floors, Inc.: The customer did ask me for some poly i told her no problem when the guy are in the area i.would have hem leave some for her . That was on Friday by Monday she won't to know why we hadn't Dropped it off yet . I told her If she needed it that quick she is more then welcome to stop by and pick it up And we didn't have time to go from the north side town to the south side just to drop it off . Nor would it be fair to send two guys from the company out of there way just to drop off 2 oz of poly that's why i said when we area in the area.i would be more then glad to drop it off. P.S . We tell everyone they need to touch up the paint .

John refinished floors in a rental we own. There was a little confusion about what was to be done but John worked it out to my satisfaction. I would recommend him.

Project: Install or Completely Replace Wood Flooring
John is not who installed my floor, but his installer had 20 years experience. He showed up on time each day and got the job done quickly. My only complaint is that some of the boards cracked during installation and he didn't notice and remove them before continuing. He offered to cut them out after I pointed them out but informed me that the replacement board wouldn't look the same and it was better to leave it the way it was. I also wanted an insulated underlay in the bedrooms and he refused to use it. Other than that, the floors look great and the price was reasonable.
Response by John's Hardwood Floors, Inc.: Customer can not expect use to spend twice as long on a job inspecting each board so they can save money . that was not part of are agreement . If we would have bought the wood not have been a problem . Cracking of the boards is do to the wood being to dry . P.S. For all future customers the moisture level in a piece of oak should be between 6 - 9 no more and no less . Another problem you might fine out when buying expensive wood is that a lot of the boards might be short . The box of wood should have random lengths between 12 inches to 6 or 7 feet long . Short boards wood be another way the job could take twice as long .
