Profile
Longhorn Inspections, Inc.

Piece of mind through integrity & experience!

Inspections are based on Danny's 22 years of experience as co-owner of Pitts and Prince Construction Company, where he directed all company operations and served as onsite superintendent for all projects. Such a background allows him to identify often overlooked problems, such as improper roof flashing and improper roof bracing. These two mistakes are found in over half the houses and buildings he inspects. Since retiring from the construction business in 1998, Danny began doing real estate inspections to continue using his construction knowledge. He founded Longhorn Inspections, Inc. in 2003, and has conducted more than 4,650 inspections, including single family homes, condos, commercial strip centers, restaurants, churches, offices, and specialty use buildings. Project: Inspect a Home
While he took a lot of time and appeared to be very thorough, I feel it was not necessary to spend so much time in many areas. Many construction aspects were noted as normal wear and tear, and things like loose floor panels on 2nd story were not even noted. Not long enough ladder to climb on the roof.

Project: Inspect a Home
Danny is a great guy and a fellow Longhorn...he was very prompt in returning my initial call and setting up an appointment...he was extremely thorough and very professional...the best thing was his in depth explanations regarding building codes and how to improve and maintain my home...I hired him for my 1 year punch list on my new home and he patiently explained all that needed to be done...his report was as thorough as his inspection...I highly recommend Longhorn Inspection.

Project: Inspect a Home
We used a general contractor to build our home. We had a few concerns about the final product so we brought Longhorn in to do the final inspection before we paid the final bill. Longhorn confirmed some of our concerns but more importantly surfaced many more issues we didn't know about. Tremendous return on the very reasonable price we paid for a very thorough inspection. I also learned a great deal about my house and building standards from following Danny around...very willing and capable teacher. I would highly recommend Longhorn.
