Lou was excellent! He did exactly what he said he was going to do and was on-time! His estimate was exactly what it cost me. He even went above and beyond and fix other things that needed fixing and didn't charge me. I would definitely highly recommend Lou to anyone!

Lou did a great job repairing my front steps which had damage from this past winters weather. The job was done on budget and exactly in the time frame estimated. Lou offered options when considering the job and I felt very comfortable with what he suggested need to be done. The work was excellent, Lou is very personable. All around great job! Thanks Lou

I am now very suspicious of the overall ratings given this contractor. He did a repair job for me including removing a disintegrating top coat of concrete on a two-tiered cement front porch. This Quickcrete replacement was not the work of a craftsman but a journeyman. While the price appeared reasonable, the talents were those of a person with far less than 20+ reported years of experience. The work was done in 23 hours (w/helper) over Nov. 3 and 4, 2014 and paid in full that evening. Most of the porch wall work was done in an adequate manner. It wasn’t until the top coat dried on the flat surfaces the next day that all the flaws were apparent. I called and expressed my unhappiness with the job, and he agreed to rework the top surfaces in the spring—the weather turning too cold to work further in 2014. He came back and resurfaced the 2 decks in May of 2015, 2 hours work by himself. After he left and the Quickcrete dried it revealed the inconsistent color on the deck surfaces (now both uneven) looked (and still does look) like a badly tie-died T-shirt. I cannot believe an experienced mason could perform so poorly. In retrospect I think he likely agreed to this re-do for his BBB rating rather than believing he could actually improve upon his previous efforts. I spent this morning scraping splashed concrete off my wrought iron railings, so as to repaint, which led to my finally writing this.
Response by Louis A. Fierro, Jr., LLC: This customer expressed dissatisfaction with my work and I agreed to come back in spring. In retrospect, the weather was probably too cold and the product dried too roughly. When the customer expressed his dissatisfaction I agreed to come back in spring. This was done, not for ratings, but because i want all my customers to be happy. I am far from a journeyman. I worked summers with my father, who was a mason and born in Italy. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Lou was excellent! Arrived exactly on-time, thoroughly explained my options for fixing my front steps. He gave an accurate estimate of the cost up-front and fell squarely within that estimate! He was hundreds less than the other guys from HomeAdvisor and still performed a great job. He's simply what every contractor should be, but most aren't - honest, deliver what they promise, on-time and within budget. Would hire him again!

Lou was very honest in what to expect as far as the scope of the work. He was easy to talk to and explained things in an easy to understand manner for the average homeowner. Pleasant and neat work environment.

Lou is flexible. He explained all my options to me and allowed me to select the one I was most comfortable with. He's also willing to take smaller jobs.

He did an excellent job in repairing our concrete deck in back yard. Instead of replacing the entire deck, he repaired the one section that was weak which kept the cost down.

Job isn't quite done yet, but so far I'm extremely pleased. Got back to me right away. Told me exactly what needed to be done. Performed the work well and in a timely manner. Cleaned up well. Pretty much everything I could ask for in a contractor. Will change my rating to 5 when/if my railings are installed to my satisfaction.
