They were first to call and offered a "free estimate", said 2pm showed up closer to 4pm. Wouldn't help answer any questions on the phone, just kept saying we will send somebody out, they will take a look and you can decide whether to hire us or not. The tech showed up, said problem right away was an easy fix & I should've been told on the phone to dump some water into the drain below the water heater, that was the smell, not natural gas. Did that, problem solved, was there less than 5 minutes and said the service visit is $90 or so, I said I was told by the co-owner (lady) that they give free estimates, got it down to $50 but a bit shady

Don't hire them! They quoted $600 to clean my water heater, then recommended replacing the whole unit for $8,800. They ignored my request for any information about the replacement unit, cut my pipes and hauled away my existing (still functioning) unit! They returned, late, with a unit built in 2002! The manufacturer told me they would not advise installing it and replacement parts are difficult to find. Tony the owner of Master Rooter gave me $100 to go away and yelled at me(!) for requesting fair remuneration for my family's 6 nights without hot water or heat in my home while I got estimates and hired another contractor.

Response by Master Rooter Plumbing, LLC: This is a very unfair comment as soon as we found out that the supply house gave us a the wrong heater,that we immiately returned the heater and was more than willing to replace with the correct heater that should have been sold to us. Our technician is a licensed master plumber for 30 years. We offered to put in the heater that day and while she refused to let us finish the job,we gave the the customer $100 for the inconvenience. No money was charged to the customer and she was happy at that moment and signed the ticket stating she was pleased with the resolution in the matter. The prior heater was over 20 years old and very dangerous.

Other than the fact that I was given a window of 1:00 - 3:00, had to call twice to find out where the plumber was, and having him show up at 4:30, the experience was very positive.
