Project: Test for Toxic Materials & Mold

The total price was $649, BUT, the guy was at my house looking at things and discussing my concerns for HOURS! [Initial price of $249, included 3 location checks]. At the conclusions of the checks, he sat & made notes, did a couple of rechecks,... Then he gave his recommendation of what mold testing he thought we needed- air or surface. He said the lab they used in San Bruno was highly rated for accuracy. The samples were $100 each (OUCH!) The total would of been $950 to do all testing that was recommended with the initial fee. I just couldn't bear spending $1000 without having done any work. In hindsight I wish I'd spent the money.

Mold Inspection Sciences is the company to use. The main reason I chose them to inspect my home for mold is that they have no vested interest in finding mold, since they do not perform the remediation for mold--the other companies do both the inspection for mold and the remediation. They were very quick to respond and were likeable and professional.

They did respond to my request in a timely manner and they produced a quality mold report, however, I was told one price and services were conducted without my consent hence leading to an invoice higher than originally discussed. Not happy.
