Very professional review and advice. While we may need a new unit soon, he gave us an idea on how to get us through for a bit.

Project: Install or Replace Furnace or Forced Air Heating System
In 2008 I had Mountain Breeze replace my air conditioning unit on the roof of my townhouse along with new furnace in my basement. They installed new units and hauled away my old ones for an affordable price. They have serviced the system for me twice a year. I had trusted them for the system I needed for a reasonable price and I haven't regretted it. In fact once one of their techs was up on my townhouse strip's roof for someone else but noticed my air conditioning condenser wasn't working right, he called me to let me know and when he was finished with what he was doing he fixed me up (no charge) all within a few hours. You will not be sorry choosing Mountain Breeze. They provide highly capable service people and friendly and capable 'behind the scenes' folks as well.
Response by Mountain Breeze Heating & Air, Inc.: We appreciate your business and thoroughly enjoy interacting with our wonderful customers!

I was thankful that they could come by the day after my AC stopped working. I was convinced the problem was a bad fan on the condensing unit or the capacitor. The tech showed up on time and spent about 15 min diagnosing. I was right - bad fan motor. He said that the capacitor was also weak. It took him less than an hour to replace both items. Total bill was $710. I looked up the parts and they were about $160 total. So the labor cost was $550 for a little over an hour. What a rip off.

Customer service was very nice and quick to get us scheduled. We have a leaking ac unit in the basement and a water heater that needed to have the temp increased. The ac tech first said the leaking was caused by the line freezing up and we needed to turn system off to let thaw out so he can charge with freon. We paid $88 for the diagnosis. Then the next day he came out to charge with freon. We paid $375 for the charge. Next day the unit was still leaking. We had the tech back out week later as we hoped the leaking just needed a few days to fully thaw out. Next the tech believed we need to adjust the drain line. $380 for a new drain line and 5hrs later the unit was leaking all over the basement floor. We are now waiting for a call back to fix the leak 2 weeks later and 3 visits. Update: The tenant had to adjust the hose to stop the leak. I would not hire them again. I feel their pricing was high for the quality of work done.

Called on Friday. Adam arrived on time at 10 a.m. on Saturday. He assessed the air conditioner which kicked off the circuit breaker, showed me short circuit and burned oil. Worked through lunch hour. Had his crew install a new unit. They were done by 2 p.m. Couldn't ask for anything better.

It seemed like I did a lot of work setting up the appointment. The service was fine and quick. The tech had to come back out as it appears a neighborhood kid had turned the system off and I did not know ... they charged me $35 to come out and turn back on which seems a little unnecessary after I had just spent $700 with them.
