While Mike and his assistant were experimenting with different stacking techniques (the job was to restack flagstone that had sunk over time) they actually completed the job. Most surprising, they refused to accept any money for their two hours work. My 92 year old mother had to force them to take $50. I'm not suggesting that Mike works for free, but I am stating that he has high integrity and did really nice work. Rebuilding 25 linear feet of flagstone two feet high was no small task. I highly recommend Pelican Masonry, Inc.

Mike from Pelican Masonry contacted us in a timely manner about out job, gave us a very good quote, and completed the job in about 2 days, including taking down the equipment needed around our chimney. He and his crew were very efficient and great to deal with.

I typically believe in the phrase "you get what you pay for" and for the price that Mike, from Pelican Masonry, gave me for a sectional brick replacement and spot repointing I thought I was living in a fantasy world that it could be done with as much quality as he and his reviews said--but I was wrong. I couldn't script a better experience with a contractor if I tried. Mike carefully selected bricks that were a close match to mine which were a very hard find, and matched my 50 year plus mortar dead on as promised. Mike's price was as low as they come...the other two referrals were hundreds to a thousand more. It's a no brainer--USE PELICAN M.

Mike called me within 2 minutes of me posting this request and met with me the next night. I was debating whether or not to tuckpoint my entire house vs just the bad spots. He gave me his honest opinoin and saved me thousands of dollars. We decided what he would do which included tuckpointing, power washing the entire house and repairing 2 cracks where the addition and the house were separating. His estimate was extremely reasonable given the amt of work. The other companies were at least $600 more and didn't include power washing. He even came out and repaired spots to show me how close in color he would be to what already existed. Thanks

Dealt primarily with Mike throughout the entire process. Despite some confusion with the permit, he was committed to getting the job done which was tuck pointing, even doing some extra patching on the back step and garage. He appears to be very honest and compared to other contractors came in with the lowest bid. I would definitely hire him again.

Mike from Pelican Masonry called me immediately after putting in a request for service with Service Magic.com. He was very friendly and told me that he could be out to my home by the next morning to take a look at the issue. I had a collapsed brick step in the front of our porch. He proposed the solution and estimated the cost. Overnight, he came up with a different idea that could save money in the long run-- plus, make the step almost resistant to any future damage. My husband and I agreed that we would go with plan 2. Mike showed up on time and got the job done over the next few days. So far, so good!
