The company founded by Earl Ronnie Andrews was known as ERA Electric. In 1992, Don Kruse purchased the company and changed the name to Priority 1 Electric. Priority 1 Electric specializes in the repair, maintenance and retrofit market. We offer maintenance contracts on electrical distribution equipment, lighting systems and specialized equipment using state of the art testing equipment. Our predictive maintenance programs have been designed to optimize equipment reliability and performance. To facilitate customer needs and wants, we never close. Our dispatcher answers the telephone directly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our electricians are professionally certified and trained to solve all your electrical problems by providing up front pricing and all available options.

My tech was outstanding. He answered all questions and showed me exactly what he was going to do . I also appreciate the fact that before I had all the information on my technician that I needed before he arrived. I would recommend him to my friends and neighbors . I was very pleased.

The service and attention to detail were first rate. The pricing was not. To replace 2 switches on a single plate, the providers policy is to charge a flat rate for each switch, despite the fact that the labor to replace 2 switches is only slightly greater than the labor for one. The man who did the work was very competent, friendly, and helpful. The work provided was great. I would use the provider again, but would be careful about getting an estimate up-front.

Installed front porch light too high. Never did look at the fixture that needed to be repaired. (installed new light switch to fix light, even after I told him switch was fine. Put ladder in position to look at light but NEVER got on the ladder) I thought about telling him I needed him to continue, but thought perhaps he knew he could not fix wires in light. Glad to have him leave, although I paid too much for a job not done well or completed.

Response by Priority 1 Electric, LP: A GPS system is installed on all our trucks to track time. GPS shows 2 hrs & 17 min & bill was only $177.00. While our tech was doing his repair, the customer was bathing her dog and did not see what work he had done. After he installed her porch light he asked her if this install was to her satisfaction and she responded, Yes, its great. If the customer was not satisfied, all she had to do was call our office, no call was EVER made. Our electrician inspected her fan wiring and found no problem, light in fan worked fine. Customer was only charged for 1 hr of work and our electrician was there for almost 2-1/2 hours.Unfair review

The work was not difficult but the cost was much more than I anticipated. The initial price quoted by the technician was more in range of what I expected. After he completed the work, he stated that the initial estimated was incorrect and the adjustment was a 50% increase. I paid the adjusted amount but Priority 1 Electric will not be considered for any future work.

Response by Priority 1 Electric, LP: We are very sorry that this customer was not satisfied with the pricing. To set the record straight, this customer was quoted and paid less than $100 for work performed. He received top quality performance by a journeyman electrician at a VERY reduced price.
