Project: Install a Pre-Fabricated Fireplace Unit (Gas)
Had an issue with one out of 3 of my new gas fireplaces that my husband installed. I couldn't believe how hard it is to get fireplaces serviced. We called around and couldn't get anyone to service these fireplaces (they only service ones they install was the usual answer), so we turned to HomeAdvisor. I was very grateful for RCS but was surprised that they were the only option that came up (even with HomeAdvisor). The appointment was scheduled pretty far out and it took a while to figure out the issue. Then after they left we had issues again, seemingly related. Unfortunately, the next available appt was weeks out again. Then when they came back they determined it was just that the pilot was left off. I appreciated that they recognized it was their technician and they didn't charge us for the visit. The initial visit was very expensive in my opinion, especially considering how long we had to wait and that the tech was only here for an hour or two. But considering how hard it is to find a fireplace service, I'll likely use them again. They were reliable.

The only downside is these guys are super busy and they cannot schedule someone to come out until a couple of weeks later. The repair person identified root cause immediately and was able to fix it without any new parts for less than 30 minutes. I asked him to clean the second fireplace since RCS charges by hour, and he happily complied.
