Quality of work was satisfactory, but material promised was not delivered and substituted with a smaller width. Communication was inconsistent.

Project: Build a Traditional Wood Carport
The owner of the company received about $2,400, half of the total cost estimate upfront on May 11 but did not started the work despite my repeated phone calls and e-mails. Subsequently, I requested cancellation of the contract and money back over a month ago. After several e-mails and phone calls, he sends me an invoice of over $1,850 for alleged trips and contacts with various parties and purchase and return of material. In other words, he wants to charge me almost 40% of the cost of the whole project without ever starting the job. I am filing a complain with the Small Claim Court early next week.

Project: Install Interior Trim and Decorative Moldings
I needed to get a crown job finished at my house that I was having problems with. Z was very friendly on the phone and was able to handle schedule my request fast. The problem was he said my job would be billed per hour because it was not a lot of linear feet. When it got time to cut the check he added what seemed to be two hours to the bill. There was never any mention of a six hour minimum and he also said he would waive the 225.00 first hour. Just beware and get a quote in writing prior to start. The guys he had come out were very nice and worked fast.

Installation was fine considering the difficulty of the existing frame. The finish sanding could have been better. Z was nice and easy to work with. I will use him again.

Project: Repair a Shed, Barn or Playhouse
Z Safdari was the first to respond to my request for quotes. He took a real interest in my project (though relatively small) and made many good suggestions. As the work progressed, unanticipated problems arose (termite damage, rot, etc). Z and his team met the challenges and completed 95% of the work on time. Only the weather prevented the remaining 5% from being finished according to the original estimate. As the weather permitted, every detail was attended to. The result far exceeded my expectations. The cost was more than I budgeted but was well worth it. I am very happy with the outcome.
