Project: Hire a Handyman
Ron showed up on time and completed part of our project. But after some mistakes, miscues and minor damage to our walls, I told him to pack up and leave as is. He offered to fix, but I wanted to fix myself. He was not professional and came unprepared. Very disappointing experience.
Response by Royal Builders: I am sorry about the work at this consumers home didn't work out. I gave the consumer a price for hanging a mirror, and hanging wall paper banner where they had stripped the old one off and it left a glue strip top and bottom he had painted the room. I told him that the wallpaper that they wanted hung would not look right because the old glue was still visible and clumped on the wall .I feel that if he had taken my advice he would have been alright I feel I am only responsible for allowing my customer to make a bad decision and give him what he wanted .I have 26 other ratings all very favorable as you can read for yourself.

The service was great. Ron was a great person. The work was average, there was some minor problems with some of the workman ship on the tiles. The work the stud framework was good. The work on the door frame was a little off. The work on the blown on ceiling paint was fine. The price was fine. The base trim was left out. Had to do it me self.

I found Ron to be professional and through with his work. He cleaned up at the end of the day. I have recommended him to several of my friends who are looking for a person like Ron. In addition, while working on my house he had a neighbor down the street ask him for an estimate on some work he needed done. It was a great experience working with Ron. I would of never found Ron if it wasn't for ServiceMagic. I will use ServiceMagic again for any services I may need in the future and recommend my friends to start with ServiceMagic

Ron did a great job patching a large hole in the ceiling of my master bedroom, that was a result of an A/C issue, followed up by a top notch paint job of the entire ceiling. He didn't use overpriced paint, but rather offered to use Behr, which Consumers Report rates #1, unless I wanted to request some other brand. Ron's crew will be painting my soon to be baby room in the near future.

Timely response, friendly, helpful, worked diligently. In general I am satisfied with the job. At first I had some issues with the trim work but they returned in a timely manner, did a better job explaining why they had to change the way the trim looked, and made some improvements on the trim. His effort to save the lock was laudable.
Response by Royal Builders: i replaced a door,and due to the way it was installed before, i had to resort to some x-tra engineering to re-install the door. also i forgot to caulk between the brick and the trim, i have since went back and took care of the problem
