I have shied away from reviewing this company for a while because I was afraid that they won't live up to their warranty if I do so. The following is my honest experience: There is a lot to tell and not sure where to start. I will try with the below categories. Sales: The owner Chris is a very good salesman. He will tell you how he does his work, why their pools are better than others etc etc. But you will have to take that sales pitch with a grain of salt. Get it all in writing in the contract because he won't show up after the sale except to collect his checks. Design: I created the design and gave it to Sahara with all the dimensions. This company really sucked in the designs they created. I did a lot of research and came up with a modern design I liked with an infinity edge SPA etc. That was a bad Idea. They have no experience doing anything like an infinity edge SPA. They had no clue.. This was very evident when they were constructing the SPA. It was not level at all. They had to rework it so many times even after the pool was filled. I never got the infinity edge I wanted. After 3 time of them trying to level it, I was fed up and gave up. They totally lacked the know how or the precision required to build an infinity edge SPA. Construction: Initially everything seems to go very fast, but things got to a standstill and For the record: Everything after the plaster was done by just one person working from morning till evening for about 4 months+. After the initial granite, plaster was done, construction came to a standstill for about 4 months as they miss-calculated the number of SPA tiles required. Even though they knew that they needed 100+ extra tiles for the SPA, for some strange reason he kept ordering them in batches of 10's and 30's. The tiles were special order and it takes a month to get them. So he wasted about 3-4 months ordering tiles. At this point I am not sure if this delay was intentional or not, but sure did seems intentional because he was constructing a lot of pools at that time and needed more people. This was in addition to the leveling issue with the SPA itself. Then there was absolutely no supervision of the job. I had to supervise the entire work after the plaster was done. I will report to him after the end of the day about the issues. Then there is the problem of convincing him that it is an issue. Quality: The pool was raised about a feet higher than the grade level of the home foundation. I kept telling him that it was too high but he ignored me. As a result of this the patio slightly slopes back to the back door. Due to this when it rains hard rain water floods the patio and enters the home through the back door. This issue was made worse by in-sufficient drainage to move the water out of the patio. I eventually fixed the water entering the home by sealing the wall and the patio edge and under the door, but the flooding of the patio is still not resolved. The SPA leaks on the side... He sent the plaster company to fix the leak but they just did something to show they did something, but did not resolve the issue. Our water bill has gotten very high over the past year and I hear the automatic water refill mechanism coming on almost every day. I suspect the pool itself is leaking under the ground just like the SPA is leaking on the sides. I have a constant water drainage that flows out to the street from yard. The pool cleaner pump is leaking on the pipe fitting that goes into the pump housing. The $7000 pool cleaner system does not adequately clean the pool as the cleaning heads are not adequate and the pump to run the system is too weak.. In short it is a total disaster.. I am really afraid I won't be able to solve all these issues... I can go on and on... but I guess you all get the picture. Looks can be deceiving and their page does not tell the whole story.. It is regulated by the company so you won't see bad reviews.

We were so close to taking down the pool because it seemed like we all we were doing was spending money on chemical trying to keep it clean and the kids not being able to be in it. Josh came out educated us and suggested a filter up grade and within a few hours our pool was coming back to life. Sahara thank you so much for your professionalism and outstanding customer service.

We had a small inground pool constructed in the front courtyard of our patio home. Sahara did a great job on the project, was responsive to requests for changes in both design and construction (we used a hand operated digger instead of the small bobcat, to avoid damage to existing brick walls surrounding the courtyard. The quality of equipment and understanding of technical issues was superior, and there are pros involved in other aspects of the job, such as fixing/replacing sprinkler system, low voltage lighting, plumbing, and landscaping. The advice on design details, particular pool tile and gunnite colors, was very good. The firm is easy to work with and work was timely, though affected by the weather. All in all, one of the two best contractors we worked with in totally renovating our home. Fair pricing (not the cheapest, but competitive with other quality builders) and good quality. Highly recommended
