Hired to fix toilet that ran all the time. Was told there was no service call charge and if I didn't like quote I paid nothing. Quoted $221 but couldn't guarantee repair would fix problem since parts no longer available. Them quoted me $299 to replace toilet which I agreed to. After new toilet was installed I got bill for $379. Was told there was a $50 service charge that he had to add to bill. I paid for work but called Sal's to question charge. They had no idea why but said they would talk to repairman. When they called back the following week I was told the $50 was a service call charge because the repairman had to leave the job and go pick up toilet. I was never told that before the job was done. The fee should have been waived since I agreed to the work based on quote. I will not use Sal's for my other plumbing needs. I was going to replace outdoor faucets and sewer work but will look for another company.

Very expensive. Took 3 days to finish project over weekend.

Slight problem with the scheduling of the install.
Response by Sal's Heating and Cooling, Inc.: Thanks for the feedback, and we do have issues installing when it has been 23 days of 90 plus temperatures and it is to be expected. When a customers air is not working in these type situations, this is the feelings we get. I can guarantee one thing. We have openings for an AC install in January, we are wide open. All kidding aside, it has been crazy but we appreciate the feedback and business. Sal

If you are thinking about using this company for services remember to get ever thing in writing on your estimate. This company has excellent salesman average service and terrible customer service from first contact all the way up to upper management. Just watch and read their response to this post, they will turn your words around to save face and make it look like you did wrong. It goes to say you get what you pay for again if you are going to use this company make sure you dot your I’s and cross your t’s before any work is done. One good thing if you use this company you do not need to use them for any warranty work that may pop up saving you more headaches
Response by Sal's Heating and Cooling, Inc.: On July 18 we called Sal?s to say we were going to use their company to install a new furnace and hot water tank, that they gave an estimate on installing. We were giving that Friday July 22 as a install date which was okay with us, after this phone call looking on their web site we found a coupon for a fifty dollar gas card when you have a new furnace installed. We called right back and where told if it is not in the estimate we could not use this in the deal. They did say they would look into it and called back and said they would go through with the deal on the card. On July 22 there workers show up and started the job they worked up to 12:10 saying they were going to lunch and will wrap the job up shortly after. At 1:00 I went out to check on them and found one worker sleeping in the truck and the other playing on his phone. At 2:00 they both come in and looked like the where on a rushed mission to finish the install. Just after 3:00 they said they were done and gave me a walk-through of the new furnace and hot water tank. I was told if the light is blinking on the furnace to count them and look at the card to see what is wrong. Sorry if something is wrong for the next ten years I?m calling you and you can count lights. They did tell one good thing about flushing the tank once a year to extend its life span. And on the thermostat I will read the manual because the work was just pushing buttons I have no idea what he was doing because he looked like he needed to get on the road. After payment the worker told me the gas card would be mail out to me. Sal?s contacted me on July 29 and ask about the service. I told the nice lady the sad story above She had told me there was NO notes about the gas card and NO they do not take two hour lunches. I was told she would look into it and get back to me, it is now Wednesday and I still have not hear back. Sal?s Heating and Cooling did a good job no problems with the system we will let you know in a couple of months when it gets cold outside if it works. If you use Sal?s make sure you get EVERTHING in writhing and DON?T make plans for the day because they will get there eight hour day in on an install. He responded here like this because His reviews speak for themselves and my responses are to them. I think he feels he is helping others and has a call from God to review. Please go to the BBB site as I don't have enough characters to copy and past all correspondence. No need to mince words. The techs are given 8 hours to do this job, that is what it took. They can do as they please with their lunch time by State Law. The gas card coupon must be presented before the agreement to do the job. He did not do that. We sent it anyway. Everything is in writing and agreed to before starting any job and he got what he paid for and then some, sending a gas card after the fact in good faith. Please notice all the 5 star reviews when you make your decision, should be a no brainer. Customer Service is #1 ! Thanks! Sal
