I am an interior designer and I want you all to know, Todd Sauter is one of the easiest, honest, trustworthy, friendliest, and talented craftsman I've worked with in a long time. I truly recommend his work to anybody who needs tile installed. I would use him again without even getting other quotes, that's how good he is.

Todd Sauter at Sauter Custom Tile completed our project on time and within the estimated budget. He treated our home as if he was working on his own home. He paid close attention to the quality and details of the project. From a Customer Service perspective he was responsive, curtious and communicated any issues up front. We were completely satisfied with the project and plan to use his services for other projects after the holidays.

Todd Sauter, owner of this business, was not only rude and discourteous when called back three times to make corrections to his initial work which was childishly amateur in that the recess he installed in our bathroom was crooked, missed grouting multiple spots, and refused to honor his guarantee when the grout in the kitchen and bathroom began to crack 9 months after installation. Having another contractor come in and look at the work when Todd refused, I was told that the grout mixture was obviously too dry causing the cracking and that silicone should have been used rather than grout as counters have a tendency to move. He also noted that the shelving installed on top of the tile should have been cut into the tile before installation rather than glued on top of it and indicated we would probably have problems with those coming loose in the near future. It is with emphatic resolution that say stay away from this contractor despite the wonderful pictures on his website and phone his real work is NOT indicative of those pictures and I can show you actual pictures of the dreadful work he did for me. Response by Sauter Custom Tile: Here is what occured at this customers house, after using some caulk that I purchased at Home Depot I realized it had an expiration date of 2008. It went on very tacky and inconsistent. I had to make 2 trips back to correct the problem after purchasing new caulk. I told Mrs W of the problem but maybe she didnt understand. I also helped her husband move the deck furniture back up to the deck after they had had it repainted but i guess she forgot about that as well.
