Project: Remodel a Bathroom

A project is not complete until the the paperwork is complete! I'm still waiting for my waiver of lien and certificate of occupancy, and John is not returning phone calls. The project work was completed in a timely manner and I am basically satisfied with the work. However, there is a problem with the bath tube trim that John has not responded to. I'm not sure that his warranty is worth anything! The project came in over budget, but some of that is to be expected as we had some unanticipated plumbing problems. Because John does not respond to calls after the project I don't think I would recommend Solid Ground Construction to a friend.

Response by Solid Ground Construction, Inc.: Customer decided to obtain permits after start date. They wanted to obtain permits which detained progress. Due to the city occupancy permit was delayed for over 1 month. They were not detained from using there bathroom. Tub had been rectified. Father-in-law lives in Detroit and son lives in house. Good communication with daughter-in-law and son.

Project: Build a Garage

My husband and I had a really good experience with our garage project. We had great communication with our builder and everything was well written in our contract. Now that the project is finished there is one thing that we would have done differently.That is we should have included some windows on the lower half of the garage. Again our experience was good and the crew did a great job. Thanks again John.
