The boys helping me move were nice and they did not beak anything. However, I had just put new carpet in and they had no way of keeping thier boots clean. I went a bought tarps for the carpet but unfortunaly couldn't find them in such short time for stairs. Then the "legal" paperwork requires you to promise you will not sue and they are not held responsible if they do damage to the house or the property. They don't tell you that while scheduling so I felt forced to sign if I needed to get the truck I rented back. I couldn't call the same day int he afternoon and expect to get someone else. Finally what upset me is the the receipt I have a copy of was different than what they charged me on my credit card. The management of this company seems to very non-customer oriented.

After a shaky late start, these guys did a great job. The crew was courteous and efficient. My new house, with new wood floors and carpet was as clean as when they arrived. Well done Mike.

Warning: Do Not Hire! This company does not respect you or your belongings. They were over two hours late and didn't show up with an empty truck( 5-6 ft of stuff)! They loaded the remainder of my belongings into my own trailer because of this. They left their own trash on the floors at both houses and used our trash can to throw away 2 large pieces of glass and other trash that was on their truck. They damaged walls, door frames and tore off a downspout on side of new house; they damaged multiple pieces of furniture and left dirty hand prints on furniture and freshly painted walls(they did not inform us of any of this). They disassembled furniture and didn't re-assemble properly causing more work for us. They used brown tape on items and didn't remove; when I removed, reside was left on items that had to be painstakingly removed. They took an expensive kitchen knife, without asking, and used it to cut wrap off furniture. I later found the knife on the floor in the bedroom. They left wads of wrap lying around on the floors. They took apart my treadmill and left it and the pieces on my garage floor. When I called the company, I was promised a call back from the owner that I NEVER received. This was the worst moving company I have ever used.

This company is definitely worth 5 stars. They did an excellent job and took very good care of my things during the loading and unloading process. They not only were professional in their work but also went the extra mile by staying to make sure everything was exactly as I wanted it in the new house. Thank you Special Ops Movers!

Review by Andrew L. in Aurora, CO
I would chose another company. When I first called Special ops on the phone, they were very nice. I explained my move to the individual on the phone, and she ask how big my house was, and where i was moving to. The total distance for our move was 7 miles, and a 4 bed 3 bath home. I asked if anyone needed to come out and look, and they said no a job this size will only take 4 hrs. I asked if they could take apart my bed and desk, and then also remove my tv and then remount it. Special ops said yes for sure I would just need to purchase an extra hour, so the move was going to be a total of 5 hrs. The day of our move the movers showed up, and started to load the truck, they were on time. About 1 hour into the job I could tell there were going to be problems. One move came up to me and asked if I could take apart the furniture and bing it downstairs for them. I started to take apart the furniture and then went downstairs, to find the truck still empty. We were now 2 hrs into the job. My wife and I decided to start moving car loads to the new house to help the process along. By the way I should say my entire house was already boxed up and stacked for the movers. I had one bed and two cribs, a desk, and a decent size table with four chairs. Not that much stuff. After about 7 trips my wife and I made, we are now 5 hrs into the move and the truck still was not full. I told the movers just to go to the new house leaving about 15 boxes to my wife and I because it was getting dark. Now at the new house all bets were off. The moves decided to stack my boxes 5 boxes high and throw all my stuff in the garage. It became inaccessible and a danger to walk in. 8 hrs into the job, all my stuff was just thrown about, not damaged, but rushed for sure. None of the furniture was put back together, and they left a huge job for my wife and I. The cost of the entire move was doubled, and the movers we not that great. Not to mention I had to dismount, and remount my TV, which I paid the company to do, and I had to put together my furniture, which I also paid for extra time to do. When all was done the job was 8 hrs not 5, and the job was incomplete. My wife and I did 60% of the work. As they were leaving one mover came up to me, and said "sorry we moved so slow, my partner just didn't really want to work." I called the company the next day, and they were nice and said the manager would get back to me before they charged me. Well its been 7 days and no one has called, I even called back with no success. Do yourself a favor, pick any other company.
Response by Special Ops Moving, LLC: We would like to add a few facts about the logistics of this move. We base our estimates on what customers tell us over the phone. We recommended a 3 man crew to consumer name withheld per their request) but he insisted that it was not needed and that he and his wife would move many small items themselves (this was changed by Mr. consumer name withheld per their request) and was not communicated to us) The move went well. Even with the logistics of the move being changed we were able to move consumer name withheld per their request) quickly and efficiently without damage occurring. All in all the move did take a few hours longer than estimate but in light of the changes made there was no damage whatsoever and we think the crew did a good job. Also I might add ( consumer name withheld per their request) GAVE THE CREW $150 TIP. WHICH IS THE SAME THE JOB RAN OVER THE ESTIMATE ($595 v. $765) Based on the facts of the move and situation we think that a .05 star review is not a fair representation of our company. We strive to maintain professionalism and hard work in all aspects of the moving process.
