Project: Repair or Install Gas Piping
The technician that was sent to do the repairs was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They made sure the work was completed correctly and went above and beyond what I hoped for. They fixed a leak in my gas line, which was a dangerous situation. I have since hired them to work on another issue with my septic tank - which they fixed (after I have have had 3 other companies to come to service it who did not fix it correctly). I will definitely be using American Plumbing for other problems I have. It was nice to find a place that can do the work right, at a good price, and is nice to work with.

Project: Clear a Clogged or Slow Drain
I hired this company because they were the first to call me back. Came immediately, diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed it. Recommended how to keep it from happening again. Knowledgable and courteous. Thought the price was a little high, but I haven't had a lot of plumbing done (my husband can usually fix it), so it may be comparable with other plumbers. I would recommend them.

American Plumbing charges more for even small things. I never recommend anyone go through American Plumbing for any repairs.

Project: Install or Replace a Shower
They are competitive with their pricing and very friendly. There was a few things they said they would do on the install, such as replacing insullation, concrete board and the quality of materials they would use that they did not do. Other than that, I am happy with their work and would use them again. I would just make sure I could be there myself the next time.

First, too expensive to replace washers on shower and kitchen sink. Shower was done ok. Kitchen sink faucet had to be done twice. first time around wrong washers were used. Second time, a sales pitch, the faucet is too old until i asked to have the previous work checked where the problem was found. Was very frustrated. The water valve on the washer wss leaking so the plumber tightened the nut, as he said, that will fix it. It did not. Second time around i was told that this cannot be fixed and I would need to replace that fixture. I checked the internet for this problem and found there is a fix. They cannot be trusted.

I called them and they came last minute to fix my toilet. I was very happy with the quality of the work. I knew how much it was gonna be in advance and he didn't try to add on any extra charges. He was very honest and I would use them again.

Project: Camera Locate Breakage for a Plumbing System
Paid 725 dollars and then had to hire someone else because they did not find the ultimate problem and wanted to come back out and charge me 700 more. The other company had identifiedy problem and fixed it with no fancy equipment in less than an hour. Furthermore, they are unwilling to refund me a dime even after my husband ( who is deployed) called them from overseas. Bottom line, they want money and will go through elaborate means so that they can charge the most amount. Save yourself the money and hassle and hire someone else.

Helping my elderly uncle (David) with this. Matt Hitchman was a Godsend. Showed up exactly when he said he would and thoroughly explained all our options for repair. Due to the damage, we had to take the hardest route - rip out cabinets and walls in the 70 year old house. Matt not only neatly and efficiently repaired the problem, fixing it where it would easily fall in with future replacement of the entire house plumbing; he went way above and beyond to help us get the project completed. He was friendly, personable, patient with us and an extremely hard worker. He even called back to check on us later. I would highly recommend him. Kaye P.
